StinkyThoughts: February 8

So yesterday was long, but kinda fun. TH and I dropped TK off at school and went by the house to check it out. When we got there 2 of the builder's guys were there loading up all of the leftover materials from the back yard and sweeping the house out to get ready for the inspector to come. We went back and checked on the kitties, then walked around the house a little bit and talked to the guys. They had already installed the shower pan in the master bathroom and the tub in the hall bathroom and filled both of them up with water to check for leaks around the drain. The AC was fully installed and and the cover was on, and all of the wiring was run to the breaker box. They had moved all of the permits and paperwork from the board outside to the inside of the living room window. So much paperwork! We saw that the required 3rd party framing inspection that they did yesterday had passed. Yay!

However, we got a call from the foreman later that the mechanical inspection had passed, but the framing inspection had failed! He said that the inspector guy had found some little nitpicky things that he wanted fixed before he would pass it. Asshole >:-( So the builder guys were going to get in there and fix everything then, but the wall insulation that was supposed to be done Monday has been moved to Tuesday. Fucking grrrrrrr. At least it won't slow it down too much, though. He said that they should be back on schedule in a few days, so yay!! He also said that the painters might be in there sometime next week to paint the exterior! Nothing happening this weekend though, so I'm not going to worry about going over there until Monday. TH will check the kitties on his way home from work one day.

We went to Walmart and looked around at stuff. Stuff is expensive! :-/ I think we found the towels that we want to get. They're big and soft fluffy! A little expensive, but we haven't bought new towels like, ever, so it's ok. We'll probably get the slightly cheaper hand towels and washcloths though, if we can find some that match. I have no idea what color to get, either. So many decisions!! I think we found the comforter set we like. It's purty and turquoisey swirly looking. We had found one set of dishes that we liked but apparently they're only available online. I kinda wanted to see what they really look like first, but I guess we could return them if we don't like them? They did have the microwave, so yay! We did end up buying a set of pots and pans. We had been looking at the Paula Deen stuff, because that's what they have here and we really like it. We kinda wanted to get either the purple speckled or the dark blue speckled, but there's a big 2 handled skillet that we really like that is sold separately that is only available in red and light blue. They had a full set of pots and pans and the extra skillet in light blue, so we went ahead and bought it. New pots and pans! But we're not going to open them until we get home :-)

We stopped and bought Panda Express on the way home. I love their Beijing beef and Kung Pao chicken! Ate lunch and hung out with TH a little bit, and then he went to work and I took a nap. Got up and went to go pick up TK and we stopped at Randall's for milk and a few things that were on sale, and a movie. Stopped at 7-11 for a few 24 oz beers, because Walmart didn't have any 12 packs. Bastards. Got home and played a little Black Ops 2 zombies, then cooked some frozen pizzas for movie night!! DiGiorno used to make a stuffed crust Bacon Cheeseburger pizza, and it was awesome because it was the only one that had cheddar cheese in the crust. It disappeared a while back, but we found them again yesterday! They had changed them though, and now they're stuffed with mozzarella. Not nearly so good :-( We watched Alex Cross. It was pretty good. Kept my attention, at least. TH went to bed and I stayed up watching You Tube stuff with TK for a while, then went to bed.

Yeah, she didn't go out of town after all, but she did go out and do something last night. So that was something. Soon, lol. Soon we will be home!!
