July 31

It's Thursday night! My last night of work for the week and it's the last day of July. Wow. We never did get any rain today but it's noticeably cooler out which is nice. I think they said that this has been the coolest July we've had in like 5 years or something like that. It's only officially been over 100 twice! I'm hoping that means that summer is almost over and we'll have a long fall and winter :-)

So I got a little more sleep today but I'm still pretty tired :-/ I stopped by Randall's on my way home to pick up a couple of things. TK was awake when I got home so we ended up staying up and playing until almost 3:00 :-/ Slept for a while, took a shower, and now I'm at work. And it is busier than shit tonight. Sigh. Other than that though, not much going on. I may try to go to bed early when I get home tomorrow and maybe we can go swimming tomorrow afternoon. And of course I'll be going out Lyfting Friday and Saturday nights :-)

July 30

Once again...holy crap I'm tired. But I had fun today, so there's that. So I got home this morning and went straight to bed, slept from 7:00 or so until 10:30, and got up to go swimming! TK decided he didn't want to go so it was just me and TH. We got over to the pool we always go to but it was closed because the pump was malfunctioning and there was no chlorine. Sigh. So we ended up over at the other one that charges $3 to get in because it's at least less crowded than the one we used to go to. Swam for a couple of hours then got home and hung out until almost 6:00. Took another short nap and now I'm at work. Tired, but at work, lol. TH made burgers for dinner so I brought a burger salad with me.

So, I got my first Lyft deposit today but for some reason it's $15 less than what it was supposed to be so I dunno what's going on. I emailed them to see what's up but they haven't answered yet. I'm a little irritated :-/

Noms for the day: Nothing for breakfast. Cheese and pepperoni before swimming. Sunflower seeds after swimming. Iced coffee and a couple of Slim Jims on the way to work. If I get hungry later I have burger salad :-)

Tired again tonight :-( Got home this morning and couldn't fall asleep so I hung out with TH, watched a couple of episodes of Prison Break, and went to bed after he left for work. Got up just before he got home and we made breakfast for dinner - sausage, eggs, and flax pancakes. Nom :-) And now I'm at work. TK slept late today so he should be awake tonight. I brought the Xbox again so we can play. Yay :-) TH is off tomorrow and he wants to go swimming again so hopefully I can go to bed early enough to get some decent sleep. They're calling for a pretty good chance of rain Thursday and Friday so tomorrow might be the last swimming chance until this weekend. Sigh.

July 28

Holy crap I'm tired tonight. But I've already had a sugar free Rockstar and I'm working on my iced coffee so hopefully that will kick in soon. Had fun today though so it's all good :-) So I stopped on my way home this morning to buy some washer fluid for my car because it ran out. I figured that the gallon would be enough to fill mine up and then top off TH's car but mine took the whole thing and it's still not full. So I stopped and bought another one on my way to work tonight and hopefully that will do both cars. I didn't realize it would hold that much, lol. Got home and TH woke up so I hung out with him for a while. Tried to go to bed around 9:00 but couldn't fall asleep so I just stayed up. Woke TK up a little later and we went swimming at 11:00 when the pool opened. And, TH went with us! It was so awesome :-) There were like, 10 people there. Soooo quiet. We swam for about 2 hours and then were hungry so we stopped by Taco Bell on the way home. I can eat 2 Doritos Locos tacos without really going over my carbs for the day. So nom :-) Got home and ate lunch, TH left for work, I went to bed, and got up at 8:30. Now I'm at work.

TK was tired so he was going to go to bed early so I won't be playing with him tonight. Hopefully tomorrow I can get to bed early so we can hang out when I get up. I need to make dinner too since I didn't tonight.

July 27

Sunday night, back at work. Got busy Thursday night and didn't get a chance to write. That seems to be happening a lot lately, lol. So let's see...Thursday morning I got home and everyone was awake so I hung out with them for a while. Went to bed and TH and TK were supposed to wake me up to go swimming but they decided they didn't feel like it. Sigh. Ended up sleeping late, TH made stuffed bell peppers for dinner, and I went to work. So nothing terribly exciting.

Friday I got home and woke TK up and we went hiking! It was awesome :-) We went and explored the park where we go swimming. It has a nice little gravel path that loops the whole park but there are also trails that cut though the woods and go down to the creek. We saw fish, a turtle, some tiny little frogs, and a deer! So cool! Stopped by HEB on our way home to pick up a couple of things, hung out with TH until he left for work, then took a nap. Got up before TH got home and made some frozen pizzas (I had frozen wings) and TK's buddy came over to spend the night. We watched a couple of episodes of Prison Break for movie night, TH went to bed, and I went out Lyfting!! I started around 10:00 and got home at almost 3:00. I ended up giving 8 rides for a total of $98!! Definitely not bad for my first night. I wasn't really sure where to hang out to pick up the most rides but I think I have a pretty good strategy now. Got home and TK and his buddy were still awake so I hung out with them until TH got up to go to work, then had a little quiet time :-) I think I ended up going to bed around 9:00 or so.

July 23

Well, I got busy last night and didn't have a chance to write. Not really much going on though so that's ok. Got home yesterday morning and everyone was awake so I hung out with them for a while. Went to bed late, woke up in time to cook taco meat for dinner, and came to work. Yeehaw, lol. We decided that we were going to go swimming early today so when I got home I stayed up and hung out with TH and TK until the pool opened at 11:00. TK decided that he didn't feel like going so TH and I went. It was freaking awesome! There were like, five other people there. Soooooo quiet. We swam for a while, stopped by Whataburger for some lunch, and I ended up going to bed around 3:00. Got up at 8:00 to come to work so I'm kinda tired but not as bad as I thought I would be. So that's nice :-)

I think when I get home tomorrow I'm going to wake TK up so we can go hiking. I kinda wanted to wait until TH felt like going but he doesn't really seem that interested in waking up early to go. Which I can understand, lol.

So so so....I am now officially a Lyft driver!!! Yeah :-) I went home this morning and dropped my stuff off then went and did the little test drive with a mentor. I passed that no problem, so the only thing left was to have the background check and driving record done. They said it could take a couple of days at the most but mine finished up today. So now I can start driving whenever I want! I'm so excited :-) I may try it out a few times early in the morning to see what happens but I definitely plan out going out this Friday and/or Saturday night. It should be interesting!

Let's see. Other than that, not really much going on. Got home after the test drive and hung out with TH and TK for a while, stayed up later than I probably should have, and went to bed. Slept until about 6:30 then just kinda hung out again until time to come to work. We had leftovers for dinner but I made a pizza-in-a-bowl type thing. It was nom :-) I slept too late to try to go swimming but hopefully we can tomorrow. And this week TH actually gets both of his days off so maybe we can all go Wednesday or Thursday!

Noms for the day: Cheese and a couple of Slim Jims for breakfast. Pizza in a bowl for dinner. Iced coffee on the way to work. If I get hungry later I brought some pork rinds and a little bit of watermelon.

July 20

Sunday night, back at work. Not really much going on this weekend. And for some reason it has been slower than shit here at work, which is always nice. Kinda strange, but nice. So, Friday morning I woke TH up when I got home because he had to go to work early. TK was still awake too so we watched a couple of episodes of Prison Break. TH left for work and TK and I went out messing around for a while. We went by Target and looked at toys, looked at games at Gamestop, stopped to get a couple of things from Sam's, and went by HEB. Got home and played for a little while then took a short nap until TH got home. Made nachos for dinner (pork rinds for me) and watched a couple of episodes of Prison Break for movie night. TH went to bed and TK and I stayed up for a while.

Saturday we slept kinda late then went to get my car detailed. It is soooooo clean now! The only problem is that I have some dried cement splatters that they weren't able to remove. It doesn't look horrible, but I hope it's not bad enough that they don't want me to do the Lyft thingie :-/ Because the inside looks awesome :-) Finished up there and got home just before TH did, made burgers for dinner, and watched A Million Ways To Die In The West. It was freaking hilarious :-) TH went to bed and TK and I stayed up late again, lol.

July 17

Thursday night, yay!! So, I got busy last night and didn't get a chance to write. Not really much going on, though. Got home yesterday and TK was still awake so we played for a while. TH got up and I hung out with him, went to bed kinda late, and slept until almost time to come to work. I split the steak dinner that a resident gave me with TH so I didn't worry about cooking. It rained a little bit off and on all day, really just enough to kinda get everything wet. We had thought about going swimming but it was TH's only day off so he just wanted to hang out and do nothing, lol. After it slowed down at work last I played some GTA V with TK until he got sleepy. He crashed out around 2:30 or so - I think he had been awake for like, 24 hours at that point. So that was fun.

Before I left work this morning I got to meet the new lady. I like her :-) I hope she sticks around for a while! Got home and woke TH up because he had to go in to work early. Made some Spam and egg breakfast tacos, hung out with him until he left for work, went to bed, and got up after he got home. He stopped at Sam's on his way home but tomorrow TK and I need to go by the other one for like, 3 things. Kinda sucks that neither one has everything that we need. He got home and we had leftovers for dinner. It kinda rained a little bit earlier today but by the time I got up it was seriously storming. The rain has slacked off a little bit now but there's still plenty of lightning out there. It's supposed to start back up here in a little bit and I guess basically rain all night. Which we need :-)

Not much going on today. I stopped by Randall's on my way home this morning for a cabbage and some peanut butter. I got a strange look from the cashier, lol. TK was still awake when I got home so we played for a little while. TH got up and I hung out with him, went to bed kinda late, and woke up just before he got home from work. We made breakfast for dinner - sausage, eggs, and flax pancakes. It rained off and on all day and by the time I got ready to leave for work it was pouring. Now it's down to a light drizzle. I think it's supposed to do this off and on for the next couple of days as a front moves through. They're calling it a "cold front", lol. It's supposed to drop the temperatures down into the mid to low 90's instead of the high 90's. Yayyyy.

So right after I got to work tonight one of the residents called up here complaining about someone ringing his doorbell and running away. I'm like, dude I'm up here at the gate and can't do anything about it. Call the Sheriff's office. That was like, two hours ago and I haven't seen a cop yet, lol. He seemed to think it was super high priority but yeah, if they've got other stuff going on that's gonna be the last thing they worry about :-D

July 14

So last night I brought the Xbox to work with me and ended up playing GTA V with TK until about 5 am. He was asleep by the time I got home but TH was awake so I hung out with him for a while, went to bed kinda early, got up at 3:00, and TK and I went swimming for a while. Got home and played for a little bit, made chicken and roasted veggies for dinner, hung out with TH when he got home, and now I'm at work.

So when I got here tonight the flex officer girl was here, and she'll be here again tomorrow. Wednesday and Thursday are normal, and then Friday we're supposed to have a new lady take over the open shift. She actually started over at TH's site today, and she's working there Tuesday and Wednesday, training here Thursday, and starting Friday. So if she works out over here that means that our open shift is filled. Yay! But now the open shift at TH's site is not. So TH will be off Wednesday like he should be but then he has to work the early-ish shift Thursday and go in a few hours early Friday. Sigh. I know he's ready for a couple of real days off. I mean yeah, the overtime is nice, but I hate that he has to work the extra :-( Thursday is payday though, and I'm going to take my car to get it cleaned and detailed, then hopefully start doing a little driving for Lyft on my days off. It's supposed to be decent money on the side. Plus I like driving :-)

July 13

Sunday night, back at work. On the bright side, I found out Friday morning when fuckface got here that apparently I'm not in trouble. I guess the resident got all pissed off at HOA because of the old policy of just letting people though without signing them in if they were dropping off a resident, so they decided to just change it. Now in theory we are supposed to sign in everyone who comes through as a visitor, but we all know how that works, lol. HOA tried to get all pissed off at security until they reviewed the recording and saw that it looked like the Mustang was following a resident in. So now they're like eh, whatever. So really all I had to do was write an incident report about what happened. Easy enough :-) And apparently, fuckface actually stood up for me and took my side when HOA was being all shitty. So now...I don't know what to think. I guess I'm starting to think maybe he's not as big of a fuckface as it seemed. I'm still gonna call him fuckface on here though. It has a certain...ring to it :-D

So Friday morning fuckface got to work and we talked about all of that for a while. Then I found out that we were supposed to have a new guy come in and train to replace the guy who worked a week, got fired for calling in sick, got rehired because fuckface convinced the big boss that he was gonna work out alright, then quit because he decided that it was too far to drive from his house to out here. Yeah. Ok so this new guy showed up Friday morning but instead of staying here to train, he said that he had sprained his ankle and wasn't going to be able to work. Plus he was like, 80-something years old with bad knees, so there's no way he would have survived standing out here in the heat all day. So he handed in his uniforms and a letter of resignation, and left. We had been counting on this guy to start working Saturday afternoon so suddenly we had 32 hours of open shifts that needed to be filled. I ended up hanging out here for an extra hour helping fuckface come up with a temporary schedule that would work. It was kinda going to suck because I think I ended up with like, three 12 hour days in a row, but it would have been 12 hours of overtime which would have been awesome! So we finished that up and I went home. Stopped by Randall's on the way home to get some of the wings that were on sale. Got home and hung out with TH for a while, took a nap, then got up and played with TK. TH got home and we had wings for dinner and watched a couple of episodes of Prison Break. TH went to bed and TK and I stayed up hanging out and watching Axe Cop. It's on Hulu now! And it is...interesting, lol. I think we went to bed around 2:00 or so.

July 10

So...yeah. It has been a busy couple of days and I haven't had a chance to write. But yay, it's Thursday night, lol. Busy here at work traffic wise but not really much going on. Thankfully :-)

So let's see. Tuesday morning I got home and TK was still awake so we played a little Lego Star Wars 3. TH got up and we hung out for a while. I went to bed kinda late and got up in time to make dinner. I made some chicken/chorizo/cabbage stuff for dinner. Went to work and it was busy! One of my cop buddies came by and I stood outside talking to him for like an hour. Plus the other guy at work and TK were both texting me, so by the time I had a chance to write it was like 2:00. So I just  said fuck it, lol.

July 7

Well, not much going on today. Got home this morning and I wasn't really tired so I hung out with TH for a while then went to bed. He didn't really feel like swimming today, plus TK had stayed up super late and just gone to bed, so we decided not to go. Got up around 3:00 and hung out with TK for a while. We watched the first 2 The Naked Gun movies because we were bored and TK had never seen them. I had forgotten how freaking funny they are! TH got home and we did breakfast for dinner - peppered bacon, eggs, and flax meal pancakes. Nom nom nom. And now I'm at work. At work, where I found out that our newest new guy (he started last Wednesday) called off for today and tomorrow because he didn't have enough gas money to get to work. Yeah...that looks really good dude. So I finally got to meet the other new-ish guy because he was here to fill in. He works Saturday mornings here and a couple of days over at TH's site and basically just fills in wherever he's needed. Like today and tomorrow, lol. He seems nice enough. He's a video game nerd too, which is kinda cool :-) Oh, and one of our gates fucked up so I had to go out and mess with it. That's always fun :-/

I'm hoping that TH will feel like swimming tomorrow. If not I'll just try to go to bed early and TK and I will go by ourselves. So take that, lol. TH is supposed to be off on Wednesdays and Thursdays but since one of his guys is still out sick, he's going to work Wednesday again. Sigh. Eh, at least it's overtime? They're supposed to be working on getting a new person to take over for the guy who is out sick but we all know how long that takes. At least this week he's going to be off Thursday. Because TRANSFORMERS MOVIE!!!! Ahem.

July 6

Sunday night, back at work. It has been super slow so far though, which works for me. I figured today would be pretty busy with everyone coming back after the holiday weekend but the other guy here at work said it was slow earlier too. Weird.

So Friday morning I stopped by Randall's on the way home because they had wings on sale. Nom :-) Got home and everyone was asleep so I took a nap until almost time for TH to leave for work. Got up and TK and I went out to the airport to watch the planes. They have a nice little observation area right by one of the runways so you're like, right there close to them. There are a couple of World War II planes in town for some kind of event and we could see them parked at one of the hangers nearby. We even got to see one of them take off and land, which was awesome! Hung out there for a while then went by Sam's and HEB to pick up a couple of things. TH got home and we had wings for dinner and watched a couple of episodes of Prison Break for movie night. He went to bed and TK and I stayed up for a while playing Lego Star Wars. Oh, and since everyone was setting off fireworks (even though they're illegal in the city limits), we sat outside for a little bit watching our own little ghetto fireworks show, lol.

July 3

Holy crap I am tired tonight. I actually slept alright but it just wasn't long enough. But it's Thursday night, so yay! It's pretty busy here at work. I guess because most people are off tomorrow they can stay out all night? Dunno. I can only imagine what it will be like tomorrow night when all of the real fireworks shows are going on. I am soooo glad I'm not working then :-)

So I got home this morning and woke TH up because he was going to work early today. Hung out with him for a little bit then went to bed. Got up at like 3:00 and hung out with TK until TH got home, and we went swimming!! We swam for about an hour and a half until a storm popped up and they shut down the pool. Got home and made some burgers for dinner while it stormed its ass off. Luckily though it had stopped by the time we got ready to go watch the fireworks at my work. We got here a little before 9:00 and they didn't start until 9:30 so we got to see the whole show. It was awesome!! My cop buddy showed up just barely too late to watch the fireworks but he was able to hang out for a little bit and chat. And he finally got to meet TH! So that was cool :-) TH and TK went home afterwards and I'm still here. Sigh. Only like, 5 more hours to go though! Yay, lol.

Ehhhhhhhhh. So, I'm at work right now. I've been here since 7:00, three freaking hours earlier than normal, because the other guy here at work called in sick. Sigh. And holy crap at the people!!! My feet are so fucking sore from standing outside that long :-/ On the bright side though, it meant that fuckface ended up staying five hours late. He looked seriously hot and tired when I got here. Lol XD

So, I got home this morning and woke TH up because he had to go in to work early. Hung out with him for a little while then went to bed kinda early. The big boss dude called and woke me up at like noon to see if I could come in early tonight and I was never quite able to go back to sleep. Sigh. Got up and played some Lego Star Wars with TK, baked some chicken leg quarters for dinner, then hung out with TH after he got home until it was time to leave for work. Early :-P

July 1

Tuesday night and holy crap for some reason it is busier than fuck here at work. Sigh. Everyone was asleep when I got home this morning so I hung out by myself for a little bit until TH got up. Hung out with him for a while, went to bed around 8:30 or so, and woke up at like 1:30. Couldn't fall back asleep so I just got up. Hung out with TK for a while, played a little Lego Star Wars, and made the carne al pastor and cabbage stuff for dinner before TH got home. And now I'm at work.

So today was my boss's last day as site supervisor. I actually thought he was going to cry when I left this morning :-( He is leaving to take that maintenance job out here with the HOA. You know, the one that my previous boss left to take 3 months ago. But now that previous boss is leaving to move back to Alabama so the job opened up again. I swear sometimes it's like a freaking soap opera out here, lol. So now tomorrow morning starts the reign of fuckface. Dun dun dunnnnnnnnn. XD

Oh and and and...I bought a new laptop!!! Well, I guess I should say that TH kinda made me buy a new laptop, lol. I had kinda been wanting a new one because I've been using an old crappy one and TH finally convinced me to buy one. So yay!! He says it's because he and TK are always buying toys and stuff but I never buy anything for myself. I hated to spend that much, but it's a really nice one. Plus we scored an awesome deal on a refurbished one from the Dell Outlet center, so that was cool. It's got a 2.4 Gig i7 processor, 8 GB RAM, 1 TB hard drive...and it's soooo shiny :-) It came with Windows 8.1 which is a little weird but I think once I get used to it, it's going to be awesome. I really haven't had a chance to do much besides move some of my stuff over so I can't wait to see how some of my games run on it!!
