September 12

Holy crap I'm tired tonight. So let's see. Friday I went home and TK and I just kinda hung out all day. We got the house and the little ferret cage cleaned up getting ready for a new batch of kittens, then played some Destiny and stuff until TH got home. We made homemade pizza and watched...something. Fuck if I can remember, lol. Ended up going to bed kinda late.

Saturday we got up and did a little more cleaning and laundry and all that. I hung out with TH then read for a while. I had kinda been waiting all day to hear from the rescue lady about the kittens and juuuust when I had given up and was ready to go to bed, she called. So we went to pick up kitties at like 9:30, lol. Got home and played with them a little then stuck them in the ferret cage so they could settle in overnight. So I ended up going to bed around midnight, just to get up at 3:00 to go do the newspaper thing. Le sigh...

September 8

Thursday night! Holy shit this has been a long week for some reason. I did have like 3 days of absolute shit sleep though so that probably didn't help :-/ Just need to make it through tonight and then it's the weekend! I'm thinking TK and I will probably go do a little pokehunting tomorrow morning then just go home and chill. Overwatch is free to play this weekend so I wanna try that out. Then football season officially starts Sunday, so yay! It should be fun :-)

So I got home this morning and we rounded up the 3 little (semi) ferals and the little orange dude. Met the rescue group lady at Petsmart and sent them off to get vaccinated and fixed and all that. She was going to just go ahead and put them in at Petsmart after they were done today so we're pretty much done with them. I'm curious to see if any of them are still there when we go back Tuesday, lol. Finished up with her then did kitty duty, went by Walmart for some groceries, then hit a few pokestops on the way home. I ended up going to bed around 1:00, got up at like 5:00 to talk to TH for a while, then slept for another hour or so before work. So I'm a little tired :-( Luckily work hasn't been too annoyingly busy since the kids all started back to school. But yeah, I m definitely ready for the weekend!

September 6

So...yeah. Still here, and all that shit. Just really haven't felt like writing. Dunno why, either. Everything's been going ok, I've just been kinda...blah. So there's that.

So let's see. TK and I are still doing the Petsmart volunteer thing. We go over there on Tuesday and Thursday mornings right after I get off work. We rejoined the Y (I forget if I had said that already?) and we go over there to swim once or twice a week. It's actually pretty awesome because early in the mornings there aren't really too many people in the indoor pool. That's probably going to change though once it starts cooling off because I'm pretty sure the little senior exercise classes will move indoors. Those things get pretty busy :-/ So we'll have to decide if we're just going to deal with it or brave the outdoor pool again. It's heated, which will help, but still...

June 29

Okey freaking dokeys then. So yeah, I'm still alive, lol. For some reason I thought it had been a lot longer than 2 months since I had written, though. I dunno, it all kinda just runs together after a while...

So let's see...still working, sleeping, hanging out with TH and TK...you know, the usual. We decided to rejoin the YMCA a month or so back, so that's been cool. We haven't used any of the machines or anything but they have a big outdoor lap pool and a nice little indoor pool that is hardly ever busy in the mornings. 2 or 3 days a week TH drops TK off on his way to work, I go straight there when I get off, and we swim for a couple of hours. Then TH and I usually go at least one day on the weekends. It's pretty awesome :-) We've also started back volunteering with the new kitty group that took over at the Petsmart we used to volunteer at. So Tuesdays and Thursdays we get to go play with kittens! And and and, we have foster kittens now! We got our first batch about a week and a half ago and we're supposed to keep them until they're big enough to be spayed/neutered and make sure they're well socialized. It's 3 little Lynx Point Siamese and they're soooo tiny and cute! I know it's gonna be hard to give them back but we plan on fostering from now on so we'll always have kittens around.

April 19

Woo-fucking-hoo. So yeah, same shit different day, lol. I did end up working both of my days off this past week so right now I'm on day 10 of...? Hopefully Thursday will be the last one and I'll have a whole weekend off for the first time in what seems like forever. They hired  new girl to fill the weekend night shifts. She started last weekend but worked a couple of the open day shifts since we didn't have anyone else to do them. And I refuse to work days, lol. They've hired another girl for the last 4 open days, and she's supposed to be here Thursday for training. So as long as nobody flakes the fuck out, we should be good for a while. The new boss lady's still kind of annoying, and she and the other guy here aren't really getting along, so there's been a lot of drama and shit. It's exhausting, lol. I'm just trying to stay out of it all, do my shit, and go home...

Welp, I'm still here, lol. Nothing really new going on though. We're still shorthanded at work so I've been working 6 days for the last couple of weeks. One of the newer guys just quit though so starting this week I may end up working both Friday and Saturday nights for a while. So, yay overtime?

Welp, here we go, lol. This past week has been Spring Break, plus one of the huge music festival thingies that always brings a shit-ton of people to town. So it has been busier than shit here at work and the traffic has sucked fucking ass. But it's Thursday night, so yay. I'm working Saturday night though, which kinda sucks. I ended up staying an hour and a half late this morning and I'm pretty sure I'll do the same thing again tomorrow morning. We're super short-handed again because my boss quit. Le sigh. They have a new lady to replace him but she's not supposed to start until next Friday. She came in one day this week to train though so I did get to meet her. I think she's going to be alright. She's an older lady, kinda reminds me of a teacher or something, lol. So hopefully she'll stick around for a while...

So let's see. Today is St. Patrick's Day. Woohoo, lol. Yesterday though was our anniversary :-) TH and I have been married 17 years now! We both had to work so we didn't really do anything but I made him a cute little gift basket with some snacks and lotto tickets and stuff. He liked it :-) He snuck off to target while I was asleep and bought ponies for me! They're soooooo freaking cute!!!!! And then tomorrow night I'm going to cook him a special dinner. He loves chicken fried steak but I've never actually made it. So I'm a little nervous :-/ But I'm going to do chicken fried steak, macaroni, roasted brussels sprouts, cornbread (or something), and these little lava cakes. So it should be interesting, lol.

March 3

Okey freaking dokeys. It is Thursday night, and I am fucking off work this weekend! Finally, lol. So I survived the 12 days straight and honestly, it wasn't as bad as I expected it to be. I'm a little tired but not too bad. I actually ended up staying up til almost noon most days so I was able to hang out with everyone and get a little stuff done around the house. But yeah I am definitely looking forward to not going to work for 2 days!!

So they hired a new guy for 4 of our 6 open shifts, and one of the flex officers is going to be available to work the other 2. At least for this weekend, lol. The new guy actually showed up for training this morning so that's a good sign. Either way though, if something happens and they need something covered this weekend I've already told them that they're on their own. Let someone else have a turn, lol. But then I found out tonight that my boss (who has only been in charge for...maybe 6 months?) is leaving in 2 weeks. So I don't know who they're going to try to promote to site supervisor. I don't want it because I don't want the responsibility and I don't want to work days. The other guy here doesn't want it because he doesn't want to work days either. It would be a $2/hour raise, which would be nice, but there are just too many people to deal with during the day. I like my nice quiet night shifts :-)

February 27

Well, poop. So, I was off all of last weekend. Yay! However, our super annoying guy quit last Sunday so this week there were 48 hours of overtime to go around. I volunteered for the Friday and Saturday night shifts so as of right now I'm on day 7 of (at least) 12. Not sure what's happening next week but if we don't have anyone new hired I may end up splitting the weekend nights with one of the other guys so I get at least one day off. Kinda sucks while it's going on but the paychecks will be nice, lol. So basically this last week has been work, sleep, and hang out with TH and TK when I can. Super freaking exciting, lol.

So TH and I had been thinking about redoing the pantry. It's basically just a small, deep closet so everything gets shoved in there and there's no organization at all. So, we bought a couple of sets of these. We got them installed today but didn't get it reloaded so right now there's still shit stacked all over the counters, lol. The pantry had 4 shelves on the bottom and 2 on the top. We got 2 sets of the double racks for the bottom and a single rack to go on the bottom shelf of the top (does that even make sense?) then left the very top shelf as is. The top is where we store all of the tall canisters of like flour and shit so I really didn't think we needed one up there. We're also going to get them to go in all of the bottom cabinets too. All of the bottom cabinets have the regular bottom shelf but then only a narrow top shelf at the very back so there's lots of wasted space. The sizes that we need aren't carried in store though so we had to order them. I think they're supposed to be here next weekend, maybe? So that'll be awesome :-)

February 18

Thursday night! Yay, lol. So I don't know who is working this Friday night but since nobody has asked me to do it yet, I don't care. So yay for a normal weekend :-) So let's see. Not really much going on again. Last weekend was Valentine's Day so I bought some chocolate and little stuffed animals for TH and TK. They bought me a fuzzy Hello Kitty blanket :-) We bought a big pork shoulder roast and ground it up to make burgers and sausage. So that was fun :-) My buddy here at work has been on vacation all week and he comes back Saturday night. He might come over tomorrow night and hang out, which would be cool. So, yeah. Super duper exciting, lol.

Noms for the days: Yep! And I don't have an official starting weight, but I know I've lost at least 5 lbs because I remember seeing a higher number at one point than the scale shows now :-)

February 9

Lol yep, still here. Still nothing much going on. I took off work this past Sunday (2-7) for the Super Bowl, so that was cool. TH, TK, and I made a bunch of little appetizers and watched the game. Denver beat Carolina, yay! TK and I went to spend the day with my mom one Friday, but we didn't spend the night so it wasn't too bad. She's still doing alright. So other than that it's pretty much been work, sleep, and hang out with TH and TK. We did rearrange the kitchen a few days ago, moving the microwave out onto a little stand in the dining room. That pretty much doubled our counter space. So that was awesome :-) The kitchen looks so nice and roomy now! I'll have to get some pics.

So, yeah. That's pretty much it. This week I'm working Friday night (boo) because they didn't have anyone else to cover it. But then I'll be off again Sunday in exchange, so I still only work 5 days this week. Yay, lol.

January 26

Yawn. So, not really too much going on lately. Just sleep, work, hanging out with TH and TK, and trying to get over this cold or whatever the hell it is. I feel a lot better than I did but it just won't quite go away. I'm wondering if part of it might be allergies because cedar is supposed to be really bad right now. It's never really bothered me before though so who knows. TH seems to be mostly over it but TK still has some congestion and a cough. He's started taking the OTC allergy pill that TH takes to see if that helps any. So, yeah. It's all been super duper exciting, lol.

Let's see. 2 weekends ago we had the last round of NFL wildcard games, then this past Sunday we had the 2 championship games. Nothing next Sunday (well, there is the Pro Bowl, but that's only showing on ESPN so we can't watch it. Boo), then the Sunday after that (February 7) is the Super Bowl! And I requested the night off so we can just hang out all day and watch the game and stuff :-) It's going to be the Broncos and the Panthers so hopefully it'll be a good game. Then, no more football until September. Sigh :-( I dunno what the hell we're gonna do on Sundays now...

January 12

Holy crap I still feel like shit. Sigh. And now TK has had whatever this shit is for the last couple of days. And and and, now TH is starting to come down with it. I'm gonna be so glad when it's finally gone. We don't get sick much but it seems like when we do, it sticks around for a while. Double sigh...

So let's see. Last Friday TK and I went to HEB early then just went home and kinda hung out for a while. Seems like we actually took a nap before TH got home, lol. We thought about having my buddy from work come over to hang out but nobody really felt like it. So TH got home and we watched a movie then went on to bed.

January 7

Holy crap. What a fucking week. Ok so I survived New Year's Eve at work. Barely, lol. I said I was gonna do it and I did - I brought some vodka and mixed it with a Big Gulp of Dr. Pepper so that made the night go by a little smoother, at least. TK and I had bought some of those little streamer popper thingies so I brought some up here and played with them. So that was fun :-) Got home Friday morning (finally!) and hung out with TK for a while then we got out and messed around for a while. We went to Walmart, Target, Gamestop, Toys R Us, and a little retro used video game store. We managed to find a used copy of Sonic Heroes for the GameCube pretty cheap :-) TH got home and we made dinner and watched a movie but by then I was feeling kinda crappy so I went on to bed. 

...And then Saturday morning I woke up with a fucking cold or something. So the rest of the week was pretty much just a blur of sleep, work, sleep, feel like shit, sleep, and try not to die. Including Monday, which was my birthday. Le sigh. TH and TK did actually make me a birthday cake though, which was totally a surprise. Pretty cool though :-) So now it's Thursday night and I'm finally feeling half-ass human again. I actually stayed up for a while and played some Mario Kart with TK. Yay me, lol. I'm thinking when I get off in the morning TK and I will go do a quick store run then we need to clean the house up a little bit in case my buddy from work comes over Friday night :-)

New Years Fucking Eve. Holy shit I had forgotten how fucking busy it is at work on New Years Eve. Le sigh. But it'll be over soon, and it's Thursday night, so yay for the weekend! I know I haven't written in like 2 weeks but I've just been kinda blah. Plus work is busy since all of the kids are home from school so it's been hard to find the time. But everyone's good, Christmas was cool, and so on and so on. I'll get into more detail later, lol. Just figured it would be super lame not to write anything at all tonight. Since it is, you know, the last day of 2015...

So woohoo and hooray.

December 20

So, yeah. I'm still alive and all that shit. Just been busy and stuff. Or whatever, lol. Not really too much going on though. Mostly just work, sleep, hanging out...the usual. This past Saturday (the 19th) my mom came over and we did our little Christmas thing with her. We didn't cook a big dinner or anything though. She made a couple of mexican casserole type thingies and we made chocolate pies. So that was good :-) We did our stockings and stuff with her and gave her the Christmas present we had bought. We got her an Amazon Fire TV Stick so she can watch Hulu and Netflix and all that shit on her TV. She was quite excited :-) Then next Friday is Christmas so after TH gets home from work we'll do our little thing with presents and all that. I really hope everyone likes what they're getting!

Oh yeah. So TK doesn't work at Target anymore. Le sigh. He made it 3 or 4 days and then just couldn't handle it anymore. I guess it was just too big and busy and stressful and shit. He doesn't do well with stressful :-/ So he's been looking around for something else. Hopefully he can find something that will work out alright...

December 10

Thursday night again! Holy shit finally, lol. It has been a long-ass week. And I just realized that somehow I haven't managed to write at all this week. So, yeah. Oops.

Ok so let's see. Last Friday morning I got off work and TK and I went by Walmart to pick up a few things then I dropped him off at Target for his orientation! It was supposed to be from 10-1:30 so I ran a few errands while he was there. I went to Sam's, stopped by HEB for a few things, then went home and wrapped some Christmas presents and stuff. Headed back to Target to pick him up and after waiting for a little bit he texted and said they wanted him to stay for cashier training. Ok fine. I headed home and since he would be done about the time TH would get off work, I asked TH to pick him up. I had literally just walked in the door at the house when he texted me back saying it had been canceled and he was ready to go. So, I went back to Target (again) and picked him up. Got home and played a little Fallout until TH got home, then we got to go downtown to the main transit office to get TK an ID card that shows he's eligible for the student rate bus fare. You know, since he doesn't have a student ID and shit, lol. We also went ahead and bought a month-long bus pass at the reduced rate. Unlimited rides for $31 a month. It sounds crazy but I hadn't realized how expensive the buses had gotten. I think it's like $3 a trip now for adults! Stopped by Pizza Hut on the way home because that sounded really, really good. Got home and hung out for a while then went on to bed.

December 3

Holy shit, it is finally Thursday night! Not really much going on this week, oh except that TK went for an interview this morning and GOT A FREAKING JOB!!! Ahem. So Tuesday he filled out an application for seasonal work at Target and Wednesday they called him back wanting him to come in for an interview this morning. At freaking 10:00, which kinda sucked because sleeeeep. Ah well, that's what Monsters are for, lol. So this morning we left the house kinda early and stopped by Walmart to kill some time, then went and wandered around Target until time for his interview. Apparently they had quite a few people come in because we were there for freaking ever. But he got it!! He's going to be a cashier/cart attendant/whatever they tell him to do, lol. They wanted him to come back in for orientation tomorrow morning so we scrambled around trying to find a uniform and stuff. It was kind of a pain in the ass but we did it, so he's all set to "start" tomorrow morning! He is super excited (and kinda nervous) but I think he'll be fine. I am so proud of him :-) The really cool thing is that since he's homeschooled he can pretty much work whenever they want him to. So it's only considered a seasonal job (through January), but if it works out and they like him there's a chance he could stay on as a regular employee. If nothing else this will give him a couple of months to work, make a little money, get some experience, and have something to show as work history. So yay :-) The only thing that's kinda fucked is that his starting pay is $.50 less per hour than I'm making right now, and I've had this job for like 6 years...

It's all good, though. So he goes for orientation tomorrow, then we need to set him up a bank account and see about getting him a buss pass and stuff so he can get to work. He picked a store that's a pretty easy little bus ride away, which was smart. I'm a little nervous about him getting out and doing all that by himself because there are freaking crazy people everywhere, but I know he has to grow up sometime. Sigh, lol.

November 29

Sunday night, back at work. Sigh. At least though it's relatively quiet tonight. School starts back tomorrow so all the little fuckers have to behave themselves. For like the next 2 weeks, then they're off again until after New Years. So that's going to be tons of fun...

So let's see. I got off work Friday morning and it was still raining so I got to drive home in that :-/ There wasn't much traffic at all though, which was nice. TK was awake when I got home so we hung out and played a little Destiny, cleaned up the house a little bit to get ready for Saturday, then played Fallout 4 until TH got home. Hung out with him for a while, made leftover pork roast with mashed potatoes and gravy, made the banana pudding for Saturday, then went to bed kinda early. The cold front blew through around 3:00 or so and it got cold, windy, and rainy. I was kinda glad to just stay home, lol.

November 26

Yeehaw. So it's Thursday night. yay! It's also Thanksgiving, so meh. TH and I both work and all that shit so basically it's just another day. A day that everyone else is off which means that it has been busier than fucking dog shit at work. Sigh. But it's Thursday night, so I'm almost done for the week! And then this Saturday is *our* Thanksgiving. My mom's coming over and we're gonna cook a bunch of shit and it's gonna be fun :-) We bought some chicken breast and pork chops and we had originally thought about grilling them but it's supposed to be cold and rainy. So, maybe not, lol. We'll just have to see.

Ok so, not really much going on this past week. Tuesday morning TK and I started playing Fallout 4 and yeah, I can totally see how people get sucked into it. I likes :-) Wednesday morning I got home and we went to Walmart early to get the stuff we're going to need for this weekend. This morning TK was asleep when I got home but TH was home because he worked a later shift so I hung out with him for a while then went to bed kinda late. I didn't sleep very well for some reason though :-/ Got up around 4:00 or so and hung out with TK for a while then took another quick nap before work. I'm still pretty tired though :-(
