On a happier note, I went home this morning and got TK up for school then had a snack and played a little Black Ops 2. TH slept late because he was feeling bad and I went to bed shortly after he got up. Woke up when TK got home from school and messed around with him for a little while, then went and played in the kitchen! I chopped up some salad veggies and made a salad for me to take to work tonight and one for TH to eat for lunch tomorrow. Mine has bell peppers, green onions, celery, carrots, mushrooms, tomatoes, green olives, a little shredded cheese, and some garlic red wine vinegar for dressing instead of ranch. Yum! I pulled out some hamburger meat to thaw for Tater Tot Casserole. We'll probably make that Wednesday night. And I made dinner for tonight...
Ok so we had 8 or 9 frozen breaded fish fillets left, so I baked those and made some macaroni and cheese for TH and TK. I steamed a bag of garlic cauliflower (for everyone). For me, I cooked a frozen tilapia fillet in the skillet with a little water, garlic, salt, pepper, and garlic red wine vinegar and roasted some asparagus with garlic, lemon pepper, salt, and a packet of Pizza Hut parmesan cheese (lol). I added a little bit of salad with veggies and the vinegar, and some of the garlic cauliflower. It was really good, and so purty! Yeah, I took a picture, lol.
I'm really trying to watch my eating. I think it's going to be a lot easier now that we can cook, and keep anything that we need in the pantry and fridge. I do think we're going to end up getting at least a small chest freezer, though. There's barely any room for anything in the regular freezer. Last night I didn't eat dinner at home, I just had a roast beef sandwich and some chips when I got up around 3:00. I brought a container of grapes, strawberries, a sliced banana, and a tangelo, and a small container of the chicken veggie stirfry stuff. I ended up eating all of the fruit and half of the chicken stuff. I still had a bag of Doritos in my backpack so I ate those too. When I got home this morning I cooked one of those little 3 packs of crappy frozen tacos and added some shredded cheese, light sour cream, and jalapenos. So that probably wasn't the best choice, but eh. I'm working on it, and I am definitely getting more veggies! Now I just need to work on TH and TK...
Tomorrow the new Uprising map pack for Black Ops 2 comes out. I can't wait to play it! The maps look really neat, especially the new zombies map. It's called Mob of the Dead and it's set in Alcatraz (the prison). I think it's supposed to be set up kinda like a cross between Call of the Dead from Black Ops and Tranzit from Black Ops 2, where you have to go to the different areas to turn on the power to activate the perks and all. There's supposed to be a new perk, too. It's gonna be awesome! I definitely need to try to go to bed early enough that I won't need a nap tomorrow, because I know TK is eager to play it too :-)
