April 22

Went home this morning and swept, emptied the dishwasher, emptied the dryer, made coffee, and scooped the litterboxes before everyone got up. Sent TK off to school and hung out with TH for a while. I still had a few boneless wings and jalapeno hush puppies left over from Friday so I ate those for breakfast. Played with the kitties and went to bed kinda late. I woke up when TK got home but he brought his buddy home with him so I went back to sleep for a little while. Woke up and there was a huge pile of cat puke on the carpet in the living room. That carpet stuff that we have is fucking awesome, though. Vacuumed, cut up salad veggies and made a couple of salads, then took a shower and played a game of Black Ops 2 zombies. Now I'm at work. Woohoo.

Last night I brought the pork chops and stuff I made for dinner, and a leftover salad. The salad was kinda squishy so I only ended up eating the dinner, a tangelo, a yogurt, and 2 pieces of banana bread. Oh, and 2 cookies :-) Tonight I only ate a cheese stick and a piece of banana bread after I got up so I brought a big salad and a small container of leftover pork chop dinner. I also have a banana, a tangelo, and a yogurt. We froze the other 3 cooked pork chops and we're marinating that pork roast to cook Wednesday night. Not sure what we'll do tomorrow night. Definitely something with veggies, though! Ooh, maybe tacos, with TVP crumbles instead of hamburger meat? I think we have everything we need. Yeah...maybe tacos, beans, and rice (and veggies). We'll see.

April 21

Sunday night, back at work. Yay. And of course I forgot that I had an Economics homework and quiz due tonight so I just kinda skimmed through and did it when I got here. I made 100 on the homework, which really isn't that hard because you can try the questions more than once until you get them right. Seems kinda pointless, I guess. Made a 70 on the quiz though, which is better than I have been doing lately. The last 2 chapters are due next Sunday, then the last test and then the final :-/ But then I'm done, yay!!

So Friday we took TK to school then went to Sam's for salad, HEB for groceries and Sprouts for veggies and the pork chops that were on sale. We got 2 small packages of pork chops and one roast. Went home and cooked some frozen boneless wings and jalapeno hush puppies for lunch. Played a little Black Ops 2, then TH went to work and I took a nap. Got up when TK got home and we hung out for a little bit. TH stopped to get Papa Murphy's pizza on his way home and I had the oven preheated and ready so it didn't take very long to cook. We had pizza and beer and watched The Hobbit. It was good, but awfully long. I sometimes have a hard time paying attention to long movies. TH went to bed and TK and I stayed up late messing around.

April 18

Well, nothing got bombed or blew up today, so I guess that's good? And it's Thursday night, yay! It's a lot cooler tonight, and kinda windy. I think they're calling for lower 40s in the morning. That's definitely a change! It's been a little busy at work tonight. No idea why, though. I dunno, I'm just ready for my weekend. I'm pretty sure we're doing movie night tomorrow (Friday). TH said he can pick up the Papa Murphy's pizza on his way home from work since he drives right by one. That way I won't have to pick TK up from school and go get it! I'm kinda thinking about taking him to school in the morning though so I can go to the store and do a few things early. I have a couple of coupons to try the McDonald's egg white muffin thingie free so we could stop and get breakfast. Dunno yet.

So it never did rain much last night but after I got home this morning and went to bed it rained off and on until about noon. TH said that every time it would stop raining the cats would go outside and every time it would start back up they would all come running back in. That would explain allll the little muddy footprints everywhere. The first thing I did when I woke up this afternoon was sweep and mop the kitchen and dining room, and vacuum the living room and hallway. I swept the kitchen 2 more times before I came to work, and I probably really should have mopped it again. Holy FSM they made a mess :-/ Hopefully as windy as it is the ground will dry up enough overnight that I can get it clean tomorrow and it will stay (relatively) clean. There will always be mulch to pick up!

April 17

There was an explosion at a fertilizer plant in a little town not too far from here earlier this evening. It destroyed the plant and leveled 3-4 blocks around it, including a nursing home. Nothing confirmed yet but early reports are estimating that at least 70 people were killed. This has not been a good week :-/

So I stayed up a little while this morning, playing a little Black Ops 2 and talking to TH. I ate 2 servings of pizza rolls (12) and a few chips. Oh and half a king size Snicker bar. Because CHOCOLATE! Cramps, I has them :-/ Went to bed and actually got about 8 hours of sleep! TH made the Tater Tot Casserole for dinner. The recipe calls for 2 lbs of ground beef, a big can of cream of mushroom soup, a bag of tater tots, and shredded cheese on top. We substitute TVP crumbles for half of the meat, use 98% fat-free cream of mushroom soup, and add a bag of frozen fajita veggies (red and green bell peppers, and onions). Makes it a little healthier. I got a little bit of the casserole and mixed in some stirfry veggies and lettuce. It was really good, and way more filling than just the casserole by itself. I brought a salad, some veggie chips, a yogurt, a banana, and a tangelo to work with me. Yay.

April 16

Not much going on today. It's pretty slow at work, which is nice. It's kinda drizzly nasty and humid and gross though. I didn't think it was supposed to start raining until sometime tomorrow. I know they said that there's something like a 60% chance of rain for Thursday. TH wants to try to get the mailbox finished tomorrow and he needs my help with the cutting so we'll probably do that when I get home if it's not raining.

So I went home this morning and downloaded the new Black Ops 2 map pack so we wouldn't have to do it after TK got home from school. Hung out with TH for a little bit, then went to bed. Got up when TK came home and played around on the new maps with him for a little while. Mob of the Dead is neat, but kinda confusing. It's easy to get lost. I do like that when you die you become a ghost and you can revive yourself. I'll have to play it a little more to get the hang of the layout. The multiplayer maps are cool, but I see an awful lot of places for people to camp in a couple of them. I fucking hate campers >:-(

April 15

There was a terrorist attack at the Boston Marathon today. At least, that's what they are calling it for now. There aren't too many details yet, but 2 bombs went off near the finish line of the marathon. So far they're saying 3 dead, over 100 injured. Some of the pictures are horrible :-/ I don't think I want to share a planet with people who think it's ok to do stuff like this. And the sad thing is that I know this kind of thing happens in other countries all of the time but it just seems so much worse when it happens here. I know it's not, but that's always my first thought. I wonder if most people feel the same way?

On a happier note, I went home this morning and got TK up for school then had a snack and played a little Black Ops 2. TH slept late because he was feeling bad and I went to bed shortly after he got up. Woke up when TK got home from school and messed around with him for a little while, then went and played in the kitchen! I chopped up some salad veggies and made a salad for me to take to work tonight and one for TH to eat for lunch tomorrow. Mine has bell peppers, green onions, celery, carrots, mushrooms, tomatoes, green olives, a little shredded cheese, and some garlic red wine vinegar for dressing instead of ranch. Yum! I pulled out some hamburger meat to thaw for Tater Tot Casserole. We'll probably make that Wednesday night. And I made dinner for tonight...

April 14

Okey dokeys. No, I didn't fall off the edge of the world or anything. I just haven't had much of a chance to actually sit down and process everything that has happened in the last 2 (almost 3) weeks! I also discovered that if I ever skip more than a day or two of writing I have no idea how to even begin to get caught up. So, I'll just try to hit the highlights. Basically though, we're living in a little purple house with all of the kitties and it is fucking awesome!!

So the day that we got the keys we moved all of the little stuff and then I came to work. TH and TK spent the night at their house one last time because we hadn't moved the beds or anything yet. I got off work, went home and slept for about an hour, then we went to pick up the truck. We did end up letting TK stay home that day, which was good because he actually helped quite a bit. Got the truck and went out to their work first to pick up the beds, a couch, and a coffee table. Stopped back by their house to get the nice patio table and chairs and a little bit of the stuff that was in the garage. Took all of that to the house (OUR HOUSE!!!) and unloaded it, then started moving all of the big stuff from the storage place. It took all freaking day! We did kinda try to organize a little as we unloaded, and had to clean everything up a little bit because it had been sitting in storage. We also put the beds together, installed the fridge, washer, and dryer, and vacuumed a few times. It started getting kinda late and we still had a lot to do, and I hadn't slept yet, so I called work and got someone to fill in for me that night. We finished up with the truck and took it back, then stopped at HEB for a few things. We made one more trip over to their house for a few little things, picked up some pizza, wings, and beer, and went home to have our first real dinner at home. Then we all got to sleep there the first night. It was fucking awesome :-)
