January 30

We have walls!! Well, framed out walls, at least. So I went by the house on the way home this morning, just to have a chance to walk around the slab before they did anything to it. It still just seems too small to actually be a house, somehow. It's about the same size as our old house, just narrower and deeper. So it's almost like our old house turned sideways, kinda. It just looks so different that it's still weird, I guess. I walked around a little bit and took a few pictures, of course :-) They had marked out door and window openings, and where the washer, dryer, dryer vent and range hood will go. It was neat!

TK did go to school. He woke up feeling ok, but tired. No fever or anything. He made it all day though, yay! I hung out with TH for a while, then played some Halo 4 matchmaking and a few games of Team Deathmatch on the new Black Ops 2 maps. I tried the Halo 4 Grifball. It's...different, but still Grifball. The gravity hammers sound weird though. In Reach they sounded like bigass hammers hitting the ground. Now they sound like...a nailgun or something going off. It's hard to describe. And of course I stayed up wayyyy too late, so now I'm tired. I never freaking learn, lol. Slept til 8:30 so I didn't have time to play with TK. Maybe tomorrow, if I don't stay up too late.

January 29

Well, I think it's safe to say that TK is over whatever it was that he had. Woke him up this morning and he still acted like he felt pretty bad, but he didn't have a fever or anything. Kept him home today anyway just to be sure. By the time I left for work tonight he was fine. He drank a few Gatorades and finally ate something - he really hadn't eaten much besides some crackers in like 2 days. So yay!! And hopefully that's the last sick we'll have to deal with for a while!

I stopped by the house on my way home this morning but it was dark so I didn't take any pictures. It pretty much looked the same as when TH was there last night, just no concrete guys or machines, lol. I did walk up and go tap tap on the front porch. Felt like a front porch to me :-) The foreman and the head framing guy were supposed to be there around 1:00 today so TH left for work early and went by to meet them. They had removed the forms and were using chalk to draw out where the walls are supposed to go. They brought back the first little bobcat and the guy that did the demo was there using it to fill in around the bottom of the slab with dirt. They also had a trailer with a load of lumber and their "doghouse" - the little toolshed that will stay there until they're finished. He went back by on his way home and they had dropped the lumber in the back yard and had a trailer pulled up in the front yard. He said the lumber was hard to see from the street, so hopefully nobody will jack any of it :-/

January 28

Ok. Ready? Are you sitting down? Holding on to your britches? Because...

FUCK YOU, I'M A CEMENT TRUCK!!!!!!!!

They actually did it! Of course, they were supposed to start at 10:00 and didn't get started until almost 11:30, but still. So I went home and took a quick nap, then we went over to the house. The concrete guys were there when we got there, and I guess they filled in the ditches this morning because the plumbers showed up around 10:30 and seemed surprised that it had been done. Needless to say I am not impressed with the plumbers :-/ I checked on the kitties, and they were so happy to see me. Jim Bob especially was all meowy and purry. It was so cute :-)

January 27

So much for trying to not skip Saturday night, huh? Wow, it was a long-ass weekend. We had the dogs all weekend, and they were a freaking pain in the ass. We did movie night Friday, and I hadn't taken much of a nap earlier that day and had a few drinks so I was freaking tired and went to bed early. Well, early for me on a Friday, lol. TK got sick yesterday. I don't know if it's the flu or what but he is sick. He has pretty much slept the entire time, except for waking up to puke or take medicine or whine a little bit - he does a very good pitiful. I just get so freaking worried when he's sick, because he just doesn't get sick very often. It has been probably 2 years since he has been sick. We're all that way though, and I don't really know why. Lucky, I guess. Logically it would seem like I should catch every little pissant bug that comes along, because I don't get enough sleep and I don't really take care of myself, but I don't. I don't get it.

So Friday I went by the store on the way home, and then I stayed up way too late playing...Lego Batman!! I finally went through the box down in the garage that has the PS2 and some games in it. I found Lego Batman and a Simpsons game for the Xbox. I don't know why those 2 got seperated from the rest. I had also forgotten how many awesome games we have for the PS2! I know we have Star Wars Battlefront 1 and 2, at least 2 of the Destroy All Humans games, 2 of the Katamari games, and the Namco museum game with Pacman and Galaga and everything else. I forget what the others are. Now I really want to clean up the PS2 and see if it still works. Also found the USB adapters that let you use the Xbox controllers for the PC, so the next time I try to play Halo PC maybe I won't go crazy. I'm not coordinated enough to use a keyboard/mouse combo for gaming :-/ I really like FPS's, but I had forgotten how much fun the Lego games are! You can destroy almost anything in the game that is made of Lego. It's...therapeutic. Now I want to get all of the rest of them, lol. We used to have a few more, but it seems like they were for Wii and/or Gamecube and they were in TK's room at home. So they melted :-(

January 24

Thursday night! My last night and then I'm off for 2 days, yay. It has been a long week, for some reason. Didn't hear from the foreman today, so they're not pouring tomorrow. Big surprise, huh? It was hot today, too. I think TH said it was 82 when he went to pick up TK. Looks like it's going to be pretty much the same for the next 5 or 6 days. That's just wrong. At least the kitties won't get too cold, though. Kinda makes me nervous for what the sumer is going to be like. I fucking hate summer, and I hate the heat. Give me a nice cold day and I will be happier than a bird with a french fry. It has to be pretty fucking cold for me to wear long sleeves or a jacket - it makes me  feel like I'm being suffocated :-/

Got home this morning and everybody was still asleep, which was weird. They were going to go to work just for a little while and then leave from there to go out of town, so they slept late today and left the dogs at home. They usually take the dogs to work with them, which is nice. TH got up, then went to take TK to school and brought back a Sonic breakfast burrito and tater tots for breakfast. So sweet :-) Sonic has the best breakfast burritos! They have one called a Super Sonic Breakfast Burrito that has eggs, sausage, tomatoes, jalapenos, and (I think) tater tots. Nom nom nom nom nom. By then the dogs had figured out that they had been left at home so the boy was upstairs, licking his ass and being annoying. So I went and locked myself in TK's room and played video games.

January 23

Ok you know what? I give up. I'm going to quit even pretending that it's gonna be "maybe tomorrow." Shit, maybe I just won't even mention it again until one day I'm like, oh yeah they finally poured the slab today. Yeefuckinghaw. TH went to get his oil changed this morning and stopped by on his way home to check it out. They had put the little plastic spacer things under the steel grid, to hold it up enough that the concrete will flow underneath it. We kept kinda waiting all day to hear something from the foreman, but never did. He went by again when he picked up TK from school, and the plumbers had been back and installed the water and sewer mains in the yard, where it connects the street to the house. They didn't cover them up though, so that makes us wonder if now they have to wait for an inspection on those too. It doesn't really make sense, because the last email we got from the foreman talked about waiting until after the slab was poured to install the yard lines. Makes me wonder if this new plumbing inspector who was so picky on the plumbing rough wanted it all installed before he would sign off on it for the pour. Who fucking knows - I just want to see some progress, dammit!!

So this morning my boss was 35 minutes late, and it was foggy as shit so getting home was interesting, to say the least. It's crazy how much difference 30 minutes makes in the amount of traffic there is :-/ He gave me $10 though, so it's cool. I went home and played video games!!!! It was freaking awesome, lol. I finished a few more levels of the Halo 4 Legendary campaign - I think I only have 3 left now. I'll probably do those tomorrow. You know, since we won't be at the house WATCHING THEM POUR FUCKING CONCRETE!! Anyway...I played one game of Team Slayer on Halo 4, and I actually did really well! +6 k/d, thank you very much :-) Played a few games of Team Deathmatch on Black Ops 2, then went to bed around 1:00. Then got up and came to work, hooray lol. I need to try to go to bed earlier tomorrow though, so I can get up and play with TK a little bit before I have to come to work. I didn't tonight :-/

January 22

Well, fuck. Fuck fuck fuck fuck FUCK!!!! No pour tomorrow morning. I have no idea why yet, I just know that it's not going to happen. We kinda waited all day to see if we would hear anything from the foreman and when we didn't, TH emailed him to ask. He said he would let us know more with the next update, which I'm hoping will be early tomorrow. The only thing that I can think it could possibly be is waiting for the slab engineer. Guess we'll find out tomorrow. Hopefully it's just pushed back until Thursday. I know that delays and all are part of it, but it just seems like every little thing that can go wrong is going wrong. I wanna be back in our own house, sleeping snuggled up with the kitties. I miss the kitties :-(

Went to get my oil changed this morning then stopped to see the house and the kitties. When I got there nobody was there, but the concrete guys showed up while I was messing with the kitties. They had probably a little over half of the steel grid laid out; it looked like almost all of the back half of the house. TH went by on his way to work and they had finished it, and installed the electrical ground rod. So it looks like everything is done, and ready. So then WHAT THE EVERLOVING FUCK IS THE PROBLEM?!?!?!?!? Ahem. Sorry.

January 21

So I get to work tonight, and I start having cramps. Fucking lovely. See, I use one of these, and it's at home. I usually keep track of shit and throw it in my backpack a few days ahead of time so I'll have it at work if I need it, but I totally derped out this time. Plus I have to go get my oil changed in the morning and go by and check on the house and the kitties before I go home, so it's gonna be a long night :-/ The first day usually isn't too bad though, so maybe it'll be ok. If you've never heard of it, or you have and you're curious, go check out that link. I've been using one for almost 13 years, I guess. That's probably about right - I bought the first one right after TK was born. It is freaking awesome!! It took a few times to get the hang of, but now I can't imagine going back to anything else. They say that one can last for 10 years, and I believe it. I used my first one for a few years until it got lost. I still don't know how that happened, lol. The second one I had for probably 6 or 7 years before I lost it in the fire, and it was still in great shape. Hopefully this one I can keep long enough to wear it out :-)

Went home this morning and played a little Black Ops campaign. TH got up early and, intentionally or not, annoyed me until I gave up and turned it off. Sigh. So I hung out with him. TK was out of school because of the holiday and he didn't get up until I was about to go to bed. I stayed up late so I didn't get up for work until 8:30. So now I feel bad for not playing with him today :-/ And now I'm at work, but at least it's quieter than it was last night. Busy nights are a pain in the ass.

January 20

Yep, missed another Saturday. Hopefully this won't become a habit :-/ It's just hard sometimes to find a chance to write anything on my days off, when I don't have somebody right up my ass. It's not like I really wanna advertise what I'm doing, either. I'll work on it for next week.

So Friday I only slept for about 3 hours, then went and picked up TK and we went to the store, then stopped to get take and bake pizza (Papa Murphy's). Went home and played a little Black Ops, then cooked the pizza to have it ready when TH got home from work. He got the movie on his way home because I forgot, lol. We watched Dredd. It was actually better than I thought it was going to be! I had never seen the original but TH said it stayed pretty faithful to the story. So that was cool. Drank just a little too much cheap beer. Steel Reserve - cheap, not horrible tasting, and wicked strong. Did not stay up and play with TK, which actually wasn't too bad because I'm pretty sure he went to bed pretty early too.

January 18

It is Friday night, and I am not at work, yay!!! I am, however, more than a little drunk and really tired, so it will be a very short one tonight. But at least I'm writing something, right? I only slept for like 3 hours today before I had to get up and go get TK. I played a little bit of Black Ops 2 before I went to bed. Fun :-)

TH went to see the kitties on his way to work, and TK and I went to the store and then picked up some take and bake pizzas. Movie night was Dredd, a remake of Judge Dredd (duh), and it was actually more entertaining than I thought it would be. TK got his allowance today and bought the Resurrection map pack for Black Ops. It's the one that has the Moon zombies map. We played a few rounds on there before I had to stop and cook the pizzas. Got an email from the foreman - they redid the plumbing and it passed, so if his new schedule works right they're looking at a pour next Wednesday. That would be fucking awesome!

Ok so normally I would stay up and play with TK but I am too freaking tired tonight. We'll play tomorrow, for sure :-)

Song: Middle Class Rut - New Low. I love the song, but I've never actually seen the video and I'm just too fucking tired to watch it right now. So click at your own risk, lol.

Best thing: They think they can pour Wednesday!

Worst thing: Headache all day :-/

I blame any mistakes on the amount of alcohol I have consumed tonight...

January 17

Fucking Plumbers!!! OMG I am so fucking pissed! So, they will not be pouring the slab tomorrow, because the fucking plumbers messed up the fucking sewer, and it failed the fucking inspection. They were supposed to have the inspection completed yesterday, and then do the water lines and electrical ground yesterday afternoon. Then fill it all in, and call for the slab engineer today. But, NOPE!!! Apparently they're supposed to use sand or something to bed the plumbing, but they used some kind of caliche shit. And the inspector failed it because any rocks in the bedding have to be less than 1/2", and there were some that were bigger. Fucking dipshit idiots. TH went by there earlier today to check out what was going on, and he ran into the lady from the city that we've been working with. She told him about it, and said that the foreman is pissed. I'm just hoping that they got in there this afternoon and fixed it. Doubt it, though - they would need to dig it all out, bring in new dirt, and refill it. And then call for a new inspection and wait for the results of that before they can even get to the water and electrical stuff. So, they have basically pushed it back until like next Thursday, at least. Fucking grrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!

So anyway...I got home this morning, and played a little Black Ops campaign before everybody got up. TH took TK to school and brought back Whataburger for breakfast. Nom nom nom bacon cheeseburger :-) Stayed up and hung out with him for a little bit, and didn't get to bed til like 1:00 again. Sigh. Is ok though, TH and I don't really get much of a chance to talk. Still kinda miss staying up and playing video games in the mornings, and everybody being gone, though. Eh. Got up about 8:15. Stopped at the Speedy Stop on the way here and bought a couple of 4 Lokos for tomorrow :-P I found out that they are going out of town this weekend, so yay, movie night!!

January 16

Bad dreams again today :-/ Not the usual ones, at least. This time, we were somewhere, at some house, and all of a sudden there was a flood. It's weird, because I don't even remember it raining or anything. So we were outside of the house, and realized that the kitties were still inside and we needed to go get them out. We kept trying to get back to the house, but the water was pushing us back. Then the house started to break apart, and pieces of it were getting swept away, towards us. I could see all of our stuff floating along, getting sucked under and disappearing. Somehow this random old dude came out of nowhere, and he swam over to us and handed me Doggie! He said he pulled him out of the water before he could wash away. He wasn't even wet, though. We finally made it over to the part of the house that was still standing, even though I just knew that the kitties were gone. Somehow though, they had managed to crawl down in this little...place. I don't even know how to describe it. I tried reaching down in to pull them out but I couldn't quite reach them. Everybody was there, including Prozac and Gypsy. I didn't see Runt-Runt, but I guess she wasn't supposed to be there because I remember thinking how glad I was that they had all made it there. We had some cat carriers we were going to put them in when we got them out, but some of the screws that held the tops and bottoms together were loose, and we were trying to put them back together. We were also trying to figure out who to put in which carrier so they wouldn't fight with each other. And then I woke up.

So...analysis, anybody? This is pretty much the way that my dreams usually go. If anything, this one was a little tame. I either have really fucked up dreams, sometimes 3 or 4 different scenarios a day, or I either don't dream or just don't remember them. I can't remember the last time I had a "normal" dream. I remember reading this study a while back, and it totally makes sense. I have noticed that it seems like if I drink enough that it's easy for me to fall asleep, those are the days that I either don't dream or don't remember them. Either way works, really. But then that's really not good for me, either. Well, shit.

January 15

Ok. Today, it is cold. I don't think the high was over 40 today. It was only 39 when I went to pick up TK from school. He had been standing there for a few minutes and as soon as he got in the car he turned the heater all the way up, lol. After we got home and they got home from work, they cranked the heater up and lit a fire in the fireplace. I used to want a fireplace - not anymore though. They weren't the only ones, either. When  I left for work it smelled like the whole cove was on fire :-/

Oh, and that was drizzle this morning. It pretty much rainy nasty drizzled until after I got home and went to bed. It was gross and squishy. But, I have new shoes, so my toes were dry. Yay!!

Monday, January 14, 2013

January 14

I got into the Economics class, yay! Not the exact same class as the one TH is taking, but looking at the syllabus it looks like all of the teachers have it set up the same way. So that one started today, and the Texas Government and Psychology start mid-February, since they are both 12 week classes. I ordered the Government book already but I'm going to wait until they post the syllabus for Psychology to order that one because I'm not 100% sure which book to get. Probably by tomorrow the Economics class will show up on Blackboard so I can go ahead and pay for MyEconLab and get started. Hooray :-/

It sleeted this morning, before I left work. It was probably around 2:30 or so, and it only lasted about 10 minutes. Talk about completely random - I have no idea where it came from! I went home and slept, then got up and went to pick up TK. Went by the house to see the kitties. Saw Misadventure for the first time in like a week and a half! Pretty sure she's been hanging out inside at the neighbor lady's house. She and Hiro both came down and we fed them. She was so happy to see us! Nobody was there working, but they had cleaned up the rest of the concrete and brought in a big pile of fill dirt. I guess that's to fill in and level off the slab area. Hopefully since they finished the plumbing yesterday, the inspector was there today and they will move on to the next part tomorrow. Really really hoping for a Thursday or Friday concrete pour. Thursday would be better, since TH is off that day. Fridays he goes in at 2:30.

January 13

I know, I know. It hasn't even been 2 weeks and I miss a day. You know what? I just didn't feel like it, so y'all can suck it :-P I stayed up and played with TK Friday night, slept for a little bit and then got up and did laundry and stuff. I went back to sleep later, and slept til just before TH got home. Hung out with him for a while, then he went to bed and TK and I stayed up for a while and played some Black Ops 2. We were going to go see the kitties but decided to wait til Sunday. Went to bed late Saturday night/Sunday morning, and had trouble sleeping. Gave up and finally got up and planned on trying to take another nap later but that kinda didn't really happen. TH ended up going to see the kitties when he got off work today, and I made Boca burgers and fries for dinner. And now I'm at work, and so begins another week of awesomeness :-/

Got an email from the foreman with an updated construction schedule for this week. They ended up writing off last Tuesday-Friday as bad weather days, since they couldn't get in there and do anything with the rain and the mud. I wonder how many bad weather days they are allowed? Anyway, he says that if everything works out, they could try to pour Friday morning (the 18th) I think they're already ahead, though. It called for the plumbers getting in there and finishing the plumbing rough tomorrow, but when TH went by today after work he said it looked like the plumbing was already done. Yay!! They're also supposed to come in tomorrow and remove the last of the concrete debris from the lot. So that means that our little crashed alien sculpture dude is going away. Sad  face :-(

January 11

It's Friday night, and I'm not going to work, yay!! I spent all that time last night organizing my photos, and then when I got home I moved everything off of the camera roll on my phone to my computer and organized it all. I had over 1,000 photos and videos on there, including all of the video of the house demolition that I took with my phone. TH still has about half of them on his phone, because I managed to kill the battery on both phones while we were watching it. It took a while, lol. Then when I finally started syncing it, it took about 4 hours. Crazy. I left it plugged in in the kitchen and used TK's phone for an alarm and sleep noise machine while I took a nap.

Got up and went to pick up TK, then went by the house to see the kitties and check on the progress. TH had said yesterday that the foreman told him the plumbers should be in there getting started pretty quick, but it didn't look like anything had been done. Fucking grrrrrrrrr. I did get a few pictures though, hooray. The kitties were out of food, and they were so happy to see us. They usually are, though. Jim Bob especially was really meowy and purry, wanting to be petted. Dumped out the cat litter bucket that we've been scooping the litterboxes into out in a trash bag, and brought it back here to put in the trash can. That is one part that I have definitely not missed :-/ I'm just glad that they all remembered the whole litterbox thing - it has been over a year since they have used one.

January 10

Today was...uneventful, I guess. I went home and played video games, alone!! And stayed up way too late doing it so now I'm tired tonight. It's ok though, it's Thursday night, yay!! I played some Halo Reach firefight, and some Black Ops 2 Nuketown Zombies and Team Deathmatch. It was awesome, lol,

I tried to stop for gas on the way home this morning, but the first place I tried must have been out of gas or something, I dunno. It let me get to the point that you start pumping the gas, and it sounded like the pump was running, but no gas came out. Weird. The second place was too crowded, and the third place wasn't open yet. So I said fuck it and went home. When I got up later to go to work, I found out that TH had taken my car and filled it up for me, and bought me a Rockstar 2X because he knew I would be tired from staying up so late. He can be so sweet sometimes!!

January 9

I have new shoes! My toes are nice and dry and happy tonight. They feel weird though, I hate how shoes feel until you wear them for a little while. TH bought me a pair of rainboots too, but I haven't tried them on yet. He said they fit TK though, so if they don't fit me he can use them. Now when we go over to the house we won't destroy our shoes walking through the mud. There is no grass left in the front yard and just a little bit in the back, from the backhoes and stuff. So it's one big mudpit right now. When they finish the house, the last thing that they will do is lay sod in the front yard and part of the back and side yards. I thought they do that just because it looks nice, but now I understand why. They're pretty destructive, lol.

Spicewood Springs 4905
New countertop!
We met with the builder again this morning to pick a new countertop. It took forever! I think it took longer just to decide on a new countertop than it did to choose everything the last time we were there. We decided to go with one a little darker than the first one we had. It's called Spicewood Springs (lol), and it's a neat granite looking pattern. Once I got to looking at the other one we had chosen, I realized that I'm pretty sure it's the same pattern as the desk and countertops here at work, just a different color. I would have realized that eventually, and it would have bugged the fuck out of me. But by then it would have been all over the kitchen :-/ So I guess this was actually a good thing! We laid everything out and looked at it together, and it all fits together nicely. We're gonna have a purty kitchen :-)

January 8

Well, today was just kind of a crappy day. It started raining about halfway through the night last night, and by the time I left this morning it was gross and squishy and foggy. Stopped at Randall's on the way home to get some ant spray to try to kill the little black crawly ants in the bathroom. We bought some of the little baits last week to see if that would work, but it didn't seem to be helping. So we got some spray. Raid makes an ant and roach spray now that is Lemon scented, and it smells awesome! It doesn't even smell like bug spray, just Pledge or something. Works quick, too. We sprayed the bathroom this morning and haven't seen an ant all day. Yay!!

It was funny - the cashier this morning remembered me buying the ant baits the other day. I had stopped on my way home from work, on New Year's Day, and that was the only thing I bought. I remember her giving me the strangest look, like someone buying ant poison at 6:30 am on New Years Day was the strangest thing in the world. Huh, thinking about it now, I guess it was kinda weird. t(ツ)_/¯
I also finally found the peppermint and caramel whipped cream I had been looking for all winter. They had about 3 cases of it in the little markdown cooler, for 50% off. I guess they just didn't have room for it on the shelf so they never put it out? Bastards. It was weird too, because it was 50% off, but it was also on sale BOGO, so I ended up getting them almost free, somehow. Fuzzy register math, or something.

January 7

I saw a coyote on the way to work! It's been a while since I've seen one. I think they wandered further back into the woods looking for water or something. I still hear them all of the time, though. I came in the back way, a dark little 2 lane road that curves down past a steakhouse and some apartments. If you come in at the light there's a lot more traffic, and you have that drop to 35 mph zone that nobody ever slows down for. I like the back way because it's quieter. They are building another big apartment complex back there though, so we'll see how long it stays nice and quiet. Sometimes there's a cop along in there, but I know where they sit so I'm good.

So, TK started back to school today. I went home and had a couple of vodka chocolate milks and tried to fall asleep as early as I could. Good stuff, by the way. Works with strawberry milk, too. Of course though, as soon as I laid down the fucking dogs behind us started barking. They barked for about 30 minutes and then, I couldn't believe it, but the people actually let them inside. I am so tired of fucking dogs. I don't understand why people have dogs and just let them sit outside and bark all day. It just makes no sense to me. I wish I could sleep with earplugs, because I sleep so much better when I use them, but I'm always afraid I won't hear the phone if TK got sick at school and they called, or the alarm when it goes off, or the house falling down around me, or whatever :-/ I use one of the Sleep Machine apps on my phone, and it does ok, usually.

January 6

Back at work tonight, sigh. I guess I really shouldn't complain; I make decent money for a pretty easy job. Especially working at night - most nights it's so slow that I have plenty of time to study or watch a movie or spend way too much time on Reddit :-) I really like that I work alone. I can do my own thing and not have to worry about entertaining somebody all night. The few times I've had to train a new person or something was seriously annoying.

Stayed up for a while with TK last night, mostly playing Nuketown Zombies on Black Ops 2. He went to bed, and I stayed up until after TH went to work then slept til 8:00. Took a shower, then came to work. Yay. TK starts back to school tomorrow, which neither one of us are excited about. Every day I print out a cute or  funny picture and slip it in the front window of his school binder, so when he pulls it out at school he sees it. I started at the beginning of the school year and I hope I can make it til the end. I'm running out of ideas, lol. I have some markers in my backpack and sometimes I'll just draw something stupid if I can't find anything good. He thinks it's pretty cool :-)

January 5

Stayed up all night last night with TK, playing Black Ops 2 Team Deathmatch and a little bit of campaign. Went to bed after TH left for work, and slept til about 4:00. I kinda wish I could do that every weekend, because it seems like I would feel better if I could keep the same sleep during the day/awake at night schedule on my days off. Kinda hard to with TK though - I always feel guilty on the days I don't really have time to mess with him.

Went to Gamestop, and killed the last of the giftcard that TK got for Christmas on the Black Ops 2 season pass. Nuketown Zombies FTW! I also had a coupon for 20% off of any preowned game that they sent me for my birthday, so with that and the regular 10% member discount we ended up paying like $14 for Modern Warfare 3. Not too bad. Stopped at the liquor store and they had the stuff that TH likes on sale. Got a bottle of that and a bottle of cheap vodka. I really need to try to just drink a little bit when I get home in the mornings, just enough to help me fall asleep. I just wish TH's schedule hadn't changed. It was so much easier when he worked mornings, and I had to come home and take TK to school but TH could pick him up. On those days I could hang out a little (alone, and quiet!), play some video games, and go to sleep when I was tired. Now TH takes him to school but I have to come home and try to go to sleep early enough to get up and go pick him up. It's just hard to get enough sleep that way :-/

January 4

So, today was my birthday. Yeehaw, and woohoo. Found out this morning that they actually were going out of town. So, yay! Now it's all good. Made the birthday much less sucky.

It rained all night at work. They kept saying snow chances, but we got nada. It did snow a little bit further out, lucky turdbutts. I got sleeted on a little bit on the way home, but that was about the extent of the wintery type stuff. Boss was a little bit late this morning, and when he got there he gave me $10 for staying late. It's not like I really have a choice; I can't leave until my relief shows up. I didn't mind though, it was Friday morning, I wasn't in a hurry, and he called to let me know he was gonna be late. The $10 was just like, freaking bonus, dude :-)

January 3

Got home this morning and played a little Black Ops campaign. Thought I was grabbing Black Ops 2, but oops. I forget where I quit - I kept getting my ass kicked so I finally just said fuck it. I started on the prison level and I kinda don't actually think I even finished the whole level. Dunno. So then....we went and met with the builder, and picked out colors and stuff! She also had some photos of the interior of the other house (the Purple house), and it looks really nice inside! I thought it would look more like a cheap apartment or something, but  it was all shiny!! I was really surprised, there was a lot more to choose from than I thought there would be. Made my brain hurt, lol. I really like what we decided on, though. Now we just have to hope that nothing we picked has been discontinued :-/ We'll find out in the next few days...

January 2

Went home and played some Black Ops 2 before everybody woke up this morning. Ended up doing a few campaign levels and a few rounds of Team Deathmatch. The contractor for the house called and wanted to meet with us so we went over there for a little bit. Froze our asses off! Saw the kitties - man they are still not happy about being locked in the shed. I think they've figured out though that it's not as bad as being outside, at least as long as the machinery is running. It gets loud! Nothing left now but one big pile of concrete, I think they said they would have that moved out of the way enough to be able to start a little bit of work on the slab tomorrow! Stupid dumpster problems, or they would have it all cleaned up by now. Seems like it's always something >:-(

January 1

Ok. New year, new blog, new...something. Dunno yet. I'm going to at least try to write something every day. We'll see how that goes. Maybe do like a best thing/worst thing every day. Sounds like a good plan.

Oh man at least it's not as busy at work tonight as it was last night. That was brutal :-/

Best thing: No traffic on the way home this morning. Yay for holidays, I guess?

Worst thing: Nothing really bad. I guess getting my sock wet on the way out of Randall's this morning? I need new shoes.

Eh, that will do for now.
