July 21

Sunday night again already. Man, the weekends are just way too short :-/ Didn't really do much either so I guess that didn't help. Friday I stopped at Randall's on the way home to get some of the shredded cheese that is on sale. Bought some grapes too, and discovered that they mark their gallons of milk down half price when they start getting close to the expiration date. Score! Went home and hung out with TH for a while, then took a nap because TK was still asleep. Got up and went to HEB for a few things then went home and played some Minecraft and zombies. Made veggie burgers and fries for dinner when TH got home then hung out with him til he went to bed.

Saturday I slept off and on most of the day, but never slept very well. Got up and did some cleaning and started the laundry and played with TK til time for TH to get home. I had bought some seasoned chicken thighs and leg quarters and put them in the crockpot Friday afternoon so we had chicken fajita nachos for movie night. We watched Bubba Ho-Tep, and while it wasn't exactly what I expected, it wasn't bad. I kinda thought it would be a low budget cheesy zombie film. It was entertaining, at least. Hung out with TH til he went to bed, then played some Black Ops 2 multiplayer and a little Minecraft with TK. We added a blacksmith shop and a mob fighting arena to our little city. It's looking really good! Went to bed around 4 am.

July 18

Thursday night! Not terribly busy for some reason either, which is a nice change. So my boss was late this morning, again. He got here at about 6:45 which meant that I ran into a lot more traffic on the way home than I normally do. I hate traffic :-/ He did give me $10 though so that helped. I stopped on the way home and got a couple of beers since I had nothing to drink at the house. I had kinda planned on going to bed pretty early but by the time I finally got home I was awake. TH got up and I hung out with him and stayed up way too late so I decided to skip the swimming. TH and TK went by themselves! They totally need to do more stuff together. They also went to Sam's and picked up a few things. This paycheck is going to be tight again, which sucks. We still need a few things from HEB but I'll have to try not to spend much. We probably won't be doing pizza until after next payday, either. Sigh. So right now I'm thinking go home tomorrow and take a nap, then go swimming and go to HEB. We'll see.

July 17

Another quiet day. It started raining this morning at about 5 am and rained on me most of the way home. TK was still up when I got home (again) so I played a few games of zombies with him. Hung out with TH for a while then went to bed. We didn't go swimming because it ended up raining most of the afternoon. TH made dinner - some kind of chicken and rice thing. I added a few veggies to mine :-) I think there's only like a 10% chance of rain tomorrow so I have an alarm set to get up so we can go swimming. Yay! Then TK and I will probably go again Friday. We get paid tomorrow and we need to go to the store because we're out of freaking everything. I think TH is going to go to Sam's tomorrow while I'm asleep. TK and I will probably go to HEB Friday. Or something. I haven't talked to the neighbor so I don't know if she's going to be able to hang out this week. I know she's got something going on with her oldest son though so she might be busy with that for a while. Sigh.

July 16

Not much going on again today. Went home this morning and TK was still awake, again. We played a few games of zombies then he went to bed. I hung out with TH for a while then I went to bed. Got up around 6:00 and TK was still asleep, lol. Took a shower and made some dinner before TH got home. I stirfried some veggies and added a can of corn, ranch style beans, and some shredded chicken. Made a pot of quinoa and mixed it all together. It was really good! TH mowed the backyard so he won't have to do it while I'm trying to sleep tomorrow. Yay! Kinda want to try to go swimming tomorrow but there's still a pretty good chance of rain. If not we'll definitely go Thursday.

July 15

Well, the bird died :-( TK texted me at work last night and said it looked like he was dead. Sigh. I guess he had some internal injuries or something? He looked ok when I left though, so I dunno. I wonder if it would have made any difference if the rescue place had been open last night and we could have taken him then. Poor little bird :-(

Other than that not much going on. Went home and TK was still awake so we played a few games of zombies and hung out with TH for a while, then went to bed. Got up around 6:00 and we worked on our little Minecraft city a little more. We added a library and a post office :-) Made spaghetti for dinner, and now I'm at work. Yay. It pretty much rained off and on all day and everything is all soggy and gross. It's good though because we really need the rain. They're still talking about a decent chance of rain for the rest of the week. I just hope we have a couple of chances to go swimming!

July 14

Sunday night again, and back at work. Eh. At least everything is back to normal. I've discovered that I don't do well with change, lol. Man, and I have got cramps like you would not freaking believe. I really hate being a girl sometimes. Sigh. They've been talking about rain all day but it never has done more than sprinkle a time or two so far. I think it's supposed to really get started later tonight and pretty much rain all day tomorrow. We definitely need it! There's a chance all week and the high temps are only going to be in the mid 90's or so. Yay!

So I went home Friday and hung out with TH for a while, then took a nap. Got up and played a few games of zombies with TK then we went swimming! His buddy was grounded so they couldn't go but we met the neighbor and her grandkids over there and swam with them for a while. The little kids are kinda annoying, but I can deal with it in small doses. So it wasn't too bad. We left the pool and went by Target to pick up a few things then when we got home the neighbor came over and hung out for a while. I did make some hummus, and we still had a little bit of salsa. She brought some pita chips. And of course, we had the gummy bears. Nom nom nom. She didn't get to stay very late because she had to go pick up her teenager when his car wouldn't start, but it was still fun! TH got home and we hung out with him til he went to bed, then TK and I stayed up for a while playing some more zombies.

July 11

Well, we ended up not going swimming again today. TH didn't feel like it so he didn't wake me up. Sigh. Definitely tomorrow, though. Supposed to meet my neighbor at the pool and swim for a while, then go back to our house and get drunk and silly :-) TK is going to see if his buddy and his little sister can go so he has somebody to play with. Might see if the buddy wants to spend the night, too. The gummy bears are almost ready. They'll probably be done enough by tomorrow night. I need to make some hummus or something, too. It should be fun! It sucks though because we're almost freaking broke again and we don't get paid again until next Thursday. Sigh.

So I basically just went home and hung out by myself for a little while, then went to bed. Got up and everyone was asleep so I took a shower and played a game of zombies. Made some brown rice, stir fry veggies, and a tilapia fillet for dinner and packed some of the extra rice and veggies to bring to work with me. I got most of the clutter and stuff that was on the breakfast bar and the table moved out of the way so the house looks a little more presentable for tomorrow night. Yay.
