It is raining. I mean, holy fuck it is raining. It started earlier this afternoon and by the time I left for work it was raining so hard I could barely see to drive. I'm sitting here at work listening to the police scanner. They're closing low water crossings and intersections, and they've got Starflight out there fishing people out of their cars and shit. There's one neighborhood where they've had to start evacuating people because of the rain. So holy shit :-/ It's supposed to keep it up through mid-day or so tomorrow but then clear out for tomorrow night. So yay!
So I got TK off to school this morning and then took Snipe to the vet. We decided to check out a new one that is right here by the house. I thought they opened at 7:30 but apparently it's drop off only that early and the doctor doesn't get there until 9:00. They're walk-in only so I went ahead and checked in so I would be first in line at 9:00 then went back home for a while. Went back at 9:00 and got him checked out. Turns out that he has some kind of infection from that scratch or whatever it is on his leg. He has a little fever and it's still pretty swollen. The vet gave him a shot to help with the fever and swelling and a 2 week antibiotic shot (like the one he got when he had that UTI) that should knock it out. She said we might start seeing improvement by tomorrow. So I really hope so :-/ When we got home he went outside for a while and fell asleep behind the trash can outside. TH said once it started raining he came in and pretty much just slept in a box in the living room the rest of the day. I guess the meds made him sleepy?

One of my oldest nieces (she's a twin) had her second baby this morning! She has a little girl who is not quite a year old, and now a little boy. They sent pictures - he's cute! But man, she's gonna have her hands full! These are my brother's kids. I'm trying to remember exactly...I think my oldest nephew is 22, she and her sister will be 21 next month, my youngest niece is 18 or 19, and my youngest nephew is 14. He's like, 2 months older than TK. Wow, lol.
So I went home this morning and got TK off to school, then TH and I made breakfast and watched the second Resident Evil movie. I went to bed later than I probably should have and woke up a little bit after TK got home. We played some Black Ops 2 until TH got home, then hung out with him until it was time to go to work. I didn't cook dinner, we just kinda scrounged. It worked though :-)
So I went home this morning and got TK off to school, then TH and I made breakfast and watched the second Resident Evil movie. I went to bed later than I probably should have and woke up a little bit after TK got home. We played some Black Ops 2 until TH got home, then hung out with him until it was time to go to work. I think maybe, just maybe, I'm starting to feel better. I still kinda have a cough and a runny nose but I don't feel like I'm absolutely going to die anymore. So yay! I wasn't super tired when I got home this morning so I got TK off to school, made some breakfast, and went to bed fairly early. I got up a little while after TK got home and we played some Black Ops 2 multiplayer. They're doing double XP until Ghosts comes out on November 5th so that helps you rank up faster :-) TH got home and I made a sausage/broccoli/zucchini/mushroom thingie for dinner. It was good!

Best thing: TH ordered me a new component switcher box from Amazon and it showed up today! We have the PS2 and the Super Nintendo hooked up to the only AV ports on the TV so this lets us switch back and forth between the 2. It's awesome :-)

Kind of a blah weekend :-/ Got TK off to school Friday and went to HEB, then when TH got up we went to Sam's. He left for work and I took a quick nap until TK got home. We played some Black Ops 2 until TH got home then watched The Heat. It was pretty funny! TH went to bed and TK and I stayed up for a little while.
Saturday we slept pretty late and had planned on running around a little bit but I just didn't feel like it. We played a little Minecraft then I made pizzas before TH got home. We watched the first Resident Evil movie again. TH went to bed and TK and I stayed up for a little longer then I went to bed. I didn't sleep very well though - I kept waking up for some reason. It stormed for a while and most of the kitties came in to sleep with us. They're not crazy about storms either.

Thursday night!! So they fixed the AC/heater here at work, but now...nah just kidding. Nothing else is broken (for now, lol). Went home this morning and got TK off to school then made some breakfast and watched a movie with TH. We watched The Internship. It was actually kinda funny! Went to bed around 11 and got up at 8:00. TH made an alfredo meatloaf for dinner. I bought some to work with me and it is really good :-)
I think I'm going to get TK off to school in the morning and go by HEB for some stuff. Then when TH gets up we'll probably go to Sam's and we need to go by Petco or something for some ear drops for Naga. I'm pretty sure she's got ear mites :-/ Hopefully the over the counter stuff will be enough to knock them out. I am not looking forward to holding her down and fucking with her ears though :-/

I got up at 6:00 and we made hamburgers, roasted cauliflower, and stuffed jalapenos for dinner. Nom :-) Other than that not much going on. I still feel kinda crappy :-/ Thinking about going to bed a little earlier tomorrow. Dunno yet.
Noms for the day: Breakfast - 3 eggs with leftover buffalo chicken stuff. Probably 5 or 6 net carbs. Lunch when I got up - 2 hamburger patties with cheese, roasted cauliflower, and 4 jalapenos stuffed with cream cheese and bacon. Maybe 12 or so? Iced coffee on the way to work - 1 net carb. So I just realized that yesterday made 200 posts on here. Yay? Yay, lol. I'm feeling a little better tonight, still crappy but not as bad as yesterday. I got TK off to school this morning, grabbed a quick snack and a cup of tea, and went to bed kinda early. I woke up when TK got home and we played a little zombies and some Minecraft. TH got home and I made this buffalo chicken dip for dinner. Only, I didn't have any chicken thawed out so I used some shredded pork roast. It was good, though!
Hiccup seems to be doing fine! His tail hasn't bled any more and he's not acting like it hurts him or anything. He and Moose have slept with me for the last few days. It does seem like he's spending a little more time in the house, though. I still wonder what happened :-/

So, the little bit of a sore throat has turned into a full-blown crappy sore throat/coughing/sinusy thing. Sigh. I'm taking some Tylenol sinus and drinking some hot coffee right now. That seems to be helping a little. It should at least get me through tonight so I can sleep all day tomorrow.
Stopped at Randall's on my way home this morning for milk, eggs, apples, and chips for TK's lunch. TH was up when I got home so we got TK off to school and made some breakfast. Hiccup came in with a bloody tail and we had hell getting our hands on him to get a good look at it. I'm not sure what happened but he managed to get it cleaned up pretty well and the bleeding finally stopped. Of course he managed to bleed everywhere so we swept, mopped, and vacuumed. I went to bed a little late and woke up when TK got home, but I felt shitty so I went back to sleep. Got up around 7:30, drank some coffee, and just kinda hung out til it was time for work.
Noms for the day: Breakfast - 2 eggs, hot and spicy Spam, and shredded cheese. 7 net carbs. Lunch after I got to work - 2 ounces almonds, 2 ounces pepperoni, and 3 ounces cheese. 4 net carbs. I have some leftover chicken fajita stuff and spinach for later but I'm not sure if I'm going to eat it or not. It still smells and tastes fine but it's kinda bugging me that I cooked that chicken last Saturday. That's like, 9 days ago. Wonder how long chicken is good for in the fridge? :-/ Anyway - less than 20 for the day :-)

Sunday night again. Sigh. Not much going on this weekend. Friday I went home and got TK off to school, watched a movie with TH, and went to bed. TK woke me up when he got home and we played a little Minecraft. I made chicken fajita stuff and we had nachos for dinner. We watched Despicable Me 2. It was cute! I stayed up a little later with TK then went to bed.
Saturday we slept kinda late then played some Black Ops 2 and Minecraft. I did a little cleaning and laundry. TH got home and we watched Elysium. It was pretty good too. He's not doing the pool thing on Friday nights anymore so we can do two movie nights if we want to :-) TK's buddy came over about halfway through to spend the night. TH went to bed and I stayed up a little later playing on my phone before I went to bed.

Finally Thursday night! I got to work a few minutes early tonight because I was late last night. It's not quite as cool as it has been but it still feels nice. So, I was late for work tonight >:-( There was a wreck just past one of the entrances to the neighborhood out here and it took me 45 minutes to go the last 2 miles to work. Crazy. I'm here now though, so yay! It was cool all day and it's still cool tonight but it's supposed to warm up some tomorrow. I'm kinda ready for it to get cold and stay cold for a while!
Went home this morning and got TK off to school. It had started raining before I left work and it was still raining pretty hard so I gave him a ride down to the bus stop. TH woke up and we made breakfast and watched the new episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. I likes :-) Stayed up kinda late then went to bed. The cable guys came by sometime in the afternoon and they fixed the freaking internet!! Turns out there was a loose connection back in the junction box in the backyard. That would explain why it seems to go out every time it rains really hard. So they were all loud and shit, which woke me up. I was able to get back to sleep pretty easy though. Woke up around 8:00 and just kinda hung out until it was time to come to work.

Pretty quiet again today. The cold front that they had been talking about blew through just before I came to work, so it's nice and cool and windy :-) It dropped from like 80 down to 55! It's awesome. Still haven't really seen much of the rain that was expected though. I think the front slowed down a little bit so it should be here later tonight.
So I went home this morning and got TK off to school then just kinda hung out with TH for a while. I went to bed a little later than I probably should have and got up when TK got home. We played with his little Halo Mega Bloks dudes for a while and then I made dinner. Chicken and broccoli with alfredo sauce, and spaghetti squash!! It was freaking awesome. One average sized squash made a huge plate full of "noodles". We have a whole container full left over, and TH wants to try cooking some of it as "hash browns" with eggs in the morning. I think I wubs spaghetti squash :-)

Not much going on today. Got home this morning and everyone was still asleep so I went to bed pretty early. TH and TK made breakfast and tried to wake me up but I wasn't ready, lol. So I had leftover bacon when I got up. The internet had started working again before TH left for work but he had already called Time Warner and they were going to send someone out later. TK and I played some zombies until TH got home, then the Time Warner guy showed up and messed with stuff a little bit, and when he left the internet wasn't working anymore. Sigh. So they're supposed to come back out tomorrow and fuck with it again.

It rained this weekend. Like, holy shit seriously rained. Actually Friday and Saturday it just kinda sprinkled off and on all day but Saturday night it started raining and stormed all night. They said that some parts of the city got as much as 12 inches overnight! Crazy. There were road closures and stuff all over town. They even ended up cancelling the last day of that music festival because it flooded the park where it was being held. I think there's still a decent chance of rain all this next week, too. Wonder if this means our drought might be over?
So Friday I went home and got TK off to school, then when TH woke up we went to check out Trader Joe's. It was kinda neat. I found almond meal for $4.99/lb. It's usually like $8/lb everywhere else. They also had jars of unsweetened natural peanut butter for about $2.79, which is really cheap. Other than that though, there didn't seem to be too much that would make it worth going out of the way to go there. I'm kinda disappointed :-/ We went by Sam's and picked up some stuff that we needed, and while we were there we happened to walk past the cell phone display. They had a 16 gig iPhone 4S on sale for $.96 so we decided to upgrade TK from the 3GS he had been using. He was pretty excited when we gave it to him that night :-) We got home and ate some lunch, then TH went to work and I played around with TK's new phone getting it all set up and everything. Well, we decided to wait until tomorrow to go running around. I got TK off to school then TH and I just kinda hung out for a while and watched a movie. I did do a load of laundry and vacuum, so at least that's something. Went to bed kinda late, got up around 8:00 and TH had made burgers for dinner. Yay!

I'll probably get TK off in the morning and go by HEB for a few things before TH gets up. Then I think we'll go check out Trader Joe's and go by Sam's. That music festival is going on again this weekend but I'm kinda thinking that if we go early enough we shouldn't run into too much traffic. Hopefully :-)
Noms for the day: Breakfast - almonds, cheese sticks, and a couple of Slim Jims. 6 net carbs. I melted a square of baking chocolate, added a little Equal, and mixed in some whipping cream for kind of a mousse type thingie. 4 net carbs. Lunch before work - 2 hamburger patties, 2 slices of cheese, pickles, and spinach. 4 net carbs. Iced coffe on the way to work - 1 net carb. Dinner if I get hungry later - spinach with leftover alfredo pork chops and veggies. 5 or so net carbs. So right about 20.

Another quiet day. Got TK off to school and played a little Black Ops 2 until TH got up. Made some breakfast and hung out with him for a while then went to bed. Got up a little after TK got home and played some Minecraft with him. We made fajita type stuff for dinner with some of the carne asada I had frozen. It was good :-) Tomorrow I think TH and I are going to go check out the new Trader Joe's and go get the stuff we need from Sam's so that should be fun.
Noms for the day: Breakfast - 2 eggs, 4 sausage patties, shredded cheese, and avocado. 5 net carbs. Dinner - carne asada with fajita veggies, broccoli, sour cream, and shredded cheese. 5 net carbs. Iced coffee with unsweetened chocolate almond milk on the way to work - 2 net carbs. Dinner at work - salad with spinach, dressing, shredded cheese, and green olives. 4 net carbs. So even if I add some of the cocoa roasted almonds later (which are fucking awesome, by the way), I'm still under 20 for the day!

Bored tonight. Kinda tired, too. Dunno why. Well, maybe not tired, really. Sleepy. I drank my iced coffee earlier so it should kick in pretty soon, lol. Not too much going on again today. Went home and got TK off to school, hung out with TH for a while, and went to bed. I woke up when TK got home but he brought a couple of buddies home with him so I just went back to sleep for a while. Got up and made a pork chop and broccoli stir fry type thing with alfredo sauce for dinner. Nom :-)
So, I have worked security at the site I'm at now for just over 5 years. Kinda depressing, I guess :-/ Anyway, when I got hired on here it paid $10/hour, and they pretty much told me that there had never been a raise out here so don't count on one. They were right. Every year the security company negotiates a new contract with the client, and yep we've never gotten a raise. So this year we decided to actually ask for one. We've written up a little proposal and everything. But now our boss at the security company wants to know how much we're asking for. And we have no idea how much to ask for! I think we've decided to ask for $2.00 or $2.50. Sigh. That sounds like a lot, and it kinda is all at once. But if we had been getting a raise every year like most people do we would probably be making that much by now. Dunno. A raise would be fucking awesome! I'm not holding my breath for anything though.

Not much going on today. Went home and got TK off to school, hung out with TH for just a little bit, and went to bed pretty early. Got up when TK got home and we played Minecraft for a while. When TH got home I pulled some shredded pork roast out of the freezer and stir-fried it with some broccoli and cauliflower for dinner. And now I'm at work. Yay.
It's nice and cool again tonight! It was chilly enough this morning that TK was looking for a jacket, lol. I think it's supposed to stay pretty much like this for the next week or so. I like :-)
Noms for the day: I wasn't hungry when I got home so I just went to bed. Breakfast when I got up - 4 slices of turkey pastrami, 2 slices of cheese, 6 pieces of bacon, and a couple of pickles. 8 net carbs. Iced coffee with almond milk on the way to work - 1 net carb. Sunday night again. Sigh. I woke up kinda early and only took a short nap so I'm a little tired. Not too bad though. The neighbors were assholes all weekend, which was fucking awesome >:-( The dog back in the corner barked almost all weekend. The one neighbor next door was dogsitting again so that dog barked off and on most of the weekend. Somebody cranked up their music Saturday afternoon and it was still going at like 2:00 am when I went to bed. Somebody else started their music up at like 10:00 this morning, and when they finally stopped somebody else started up. So yeah - fucking awesome >:-(
So Friday I stopped by HEB on the way home and picked up a few things. Got home and woke TK up kinda late so I just took him to school. Stopped by Walgreen's and bought some ketostix so I could make sure this diet is working the way it's supposed to. It is :-) Got home and hung out with TH for a while, then we set up some of the Halloween stuff! He left for work and I took a short nap, then got up when TK got home. Played with him and just kinda hung out til TH got home. They had Hot Pockets for dinner and I had some frozen (not boneless) wings. Not bad :-) I was tired so I went to bed when TH did and I don't think TK stayed up too much later.

Iced coffee with almond milk and some cheese on the way to work - 2 net carbs. Lunch after I got to work - tuna salad with spinach, mayo, shredded cheese, and sliced pickles. 2 net carbs. Dinner if I get hungry later - the other half of the breakfast bowl from this morning - 4 net carbs. So about 12 or so for the day.
Song: Lhugueny - Origins The Musical. For the last Black Ops 2 zombies map, Origins. It's supposed to kinda explain the whole zombie thing.

Lunch at work - 2 ounces almonds, 2 ounces pepperoni, and 3 ounces cheese. 4 net carbs. Dinner if I get hungry later - leftover hamburger patties and broccoli/cauliflower with cheese sauce. Maybe 6 net carbs? So still around 20 or so for the day :-)

It's October! Yay :-) So I left work a few minutes early this morning and dropped my friend off at the airport. I actually got home about the same time I normally do but since I knew TH had an alarm set to get up with TK I fell asleep on the couch. They woke me up when they got up so I just went on to bed. I slept pretty well but I had weird dreams all day. Got up when TK got home and we played some zombies and Minecraft. TH got home and we made hamburgers with fries for them and garlic cauliflower for me. Now I'm at work. Eh.
Other than that not really much going on. I'm still kinda tired so I don't know if I'll stay up and do stuff with TH in the morning or just go on to bed. We'll see.
